Seeing as how 2 is a prequel involving dutch's gang, and all the trailers have shown is the new playable character and Dutch, I'm fully expecting him to be a nonplayable character. I'm hoping he's in there so we can see how his origins went down. Maybe in the end you and John betray Dutch and run away with the money.

Yep. It's entirely possible John does in fact kill you. I would be very surprised if John isn't in it.

I think at the very least it will show John leaving the gang to be with Abigail. Not sure if he'll be at the point where he's killing the gang members.

Trevor is the worst character in rockstar games history. He's a complete try hard pandering to the lowest common denominator.

I mean mentioning Vice City at least Tommy has revenge as a motivation at first, The trio from V are literally just greedy assholes.

Yep. I'm pretty sure this will be his main plot throughout the game.

Perhaps they could have a subplot where your character also fancies Abigail, or perhaps your guy is friends with John and helps facilitate him leaving with her. There's lots of ways this could go.
