Buy a game at launch, deal with bullshit, get an incomplete experience.

Just got shadow of War defensive edition with all dlc, on the psn sale for $30, and it has the bullshit pay to win stuff taken out.

I've never pre-ordered a game once. Life is busy enough as it is, I don't need to have games immediately the second they come out. Seems silly to me to do that and I don't know why people do.

In fact I sort of like to operate in the past. Get to have great gaming experiences at budget prices because shit like Witcher 3 is totally new to me.

The fact that the witcher 3 plus its two amazing and lengthy expansions are routinely on sale for $15 too is great.

And see, the version I'm playing now, is a really fucking fun game. The orc system works fantastically, and I never played it when it had microtransactions, but I knew of them.

It's pretty damn generous with rhe loot too.

I agree with your position for the most part. If anything I buy games new, but hold of on DLC until the 'complete' version is released. The two most recent examples are Witcher and Fallout.

I bought Fallout 4 at release for $48 (gamers club). I then waited until all the DLC had been out for about a year and bought the GotY version on sale for like 20 or 25 bucks, which was cheaper than the price of the season pass alone.

I sorta did the same thing with Witcher 3. I bought it at release for 48. Then after all DLC had been out over a year I bought the full edition for like 20 bucks, which again was like 10 bucks cheaper than the season pass.

That's the route I go if I really want a game, but otherwise alot of times I will just wait for the complete edition. I don't have too much time to game and my backlog is huge so it works in my favor.

What was incomplete about SoW?

While I can see your point regarding DLC, the microtransactions in SoW were blown massively out of proportion and never ever even close to needed to finish the game.

Man, the slaughter guys are awesome. They attack you at random when fighting other captains a lot, and they're tough. I had a four captain battle lol
