This is not a suicide topic I promise, I just need someplace to talk about this because it's been bugging me

Its hard to explain why but I feel extremely depressed lately like I let everyone down. I feel like it'll be hard to move on in life in that I'll get in the way of people I love. I have unusual health problems that just get in the way of both me and friends/family, and I feel it'll just get in everyone's way. Sometimes I think of what it would be like to not be around and sometimes I really think nothing would honestly change. I don't know it's just depressing to think. I don't want to be a burden to people but sometimes it's just hard. I don't know how to describe it.

Has anybody else had a similar feeling? It's just hard to talk about this stuff face to face with someone else, even though a game message board is probably not the place for this.

See a psychiatrist and find a good antidepressant. Depression is caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain and generaly doesn't go away on its own. It may let up a bit for a while but itll be back unlwss you get it treated

I would second seeing a therapist or counselor. It actually has been working pretty well for me.

Sometimes having someone to bounce words off of, even if it's just to have someone listen, can help quite a bit in regards to parsing how you're feeling.

I've always been secretly worried about seeing one because then I fear I'd depress them. That and also money.
