I know, this isn't an original topic. I've seen it from time to time on POTD over the years, much less on other forums... but for my short visit here I was hoping to learn more about a lot of you. I've always found these topics fascinating, because sometimes you can learn something you didn't know about another poster. So it could be cool. I don't know.

I guess I should do myself, first:

USERNAME: One of my older screen names was PeskySaurus, in reference to the old DOS adventure game Quest for Glory II: Trial by Fire. In the nearly 6 years I used that screen name, I've only had 3 people on the internet immediately know what it was referencing (one was here on POTD.) At some point in the future, I don't know if I got banned or lost my password or what, but I came back here as ManSaurus because I didn't know what else to put in place of Pesky. Upon returning close to a decade later to let everyone know about the horrible tragedy that happened to me and my wife (I don't even remember making the topic, most of October is a blur), I wanted to make my screen name recognizable for those who knew me as ManSaurus, so I went for the German equivalent. But man in German is just "(der) Mann", so that would be boring just to add another "n", and I went for "men" in German which is "(die) Mnner". So, I'm kind of... "MenSaurus" now.

SIGNATURE: My late wife's family (including herself) are from Germany. I speak a pretty good amount of German, enough that I could have fulfilling conversations with her Grandmother (who speaks practically 0% English). Rammstein has been my favorite band since 1997, so it kind of went hand in hand with our relationship and her family, since the majority of their songs are in German. The lyrics from the chorus that are in my signature translate to:

"(Up and down bounces the horse rider)*, and no angel climbs down.
My heart doesn't beat anymore, AND ONLY THE RAIN CRIES ON THE GRAVE."

*(It's technically "hop hop goes the rider", but that's a better cultural translation over literal, because it comes from a famous German children's song. Hoppe hoppe is slang.)

My wife and I always loved this song when she was still on this Earth, and now hearing that woman sing those lyrics with that distant sad voice just brings me to tears every time I play it.

The "allstar" is from high school cause I could play sports well. The sniper is cause in high school I wanted that to be my tag name cause I liked sniping in video games. The 32 is my jersey number of choice when I played basketball or other sports.

It comes from two places. The first is Kung Fu Kenobi's Big Adventure, and the second is various references my social circle have made connecting me to 'Wise Old Ben'. Kungfu Kenobi emerged from that and just sorta stuck.

My signature is just some random Frank Zappa lyrics.

Minerva is the goddess of wisdom and warfare, and also the name of a song by Deftones. Since Minerva was already taken, I opted for the masculine form of the goddess, since I'm male. The fact I didn't capitalize it was a mistake by 15 year old me.

My last name is hard to pronounce, so Doglick is sort of a mocking variation of it that I've been called at times growing up.

The BA is in reference to B.A. Baracus of the A Team

I originally had a different username booziefied that I closed when I lost an account bet back in 2004. I bet that John Kerry would win over Bush. Lost and closed my account. It was closed for awhile and I just lurked the various wrestling boards. After awhile I wanted to make a new account. There was a wrestler named John Heidenreich and somebody made an account named JOHNHEIDENREICH and basically acted like him.

There was an episode of smack down where it was implied that Heidenreich raped (or did something weird) to commentator Michael Cole. I made my account MICHALECOLE as a joke to go along with JOHNHEIDENREICH. It was a gimmick account for about six months till I started just posting normally.

I now cant stand wrestling and cant believe I ever liked it. I wish I had a different name, but this is what I am known as and the name being in all caps helps people remember me.

Username is based off of a character from Wild Arms, one of my favorite RPGs for the PS1 and one of my fav RPG series in general.

As soon as I drove off almost all these men left except my brother and a couple of our friends. My horse, named Hesa Ghost, had been running and turned a sharp corner, slipped and fell. He broke his hip. Not his leg....his hip.

He was very old. I no longer rode him. I had gotten him as a child. There wasn't anything that could be done so he had to be put down. I was told to go into the house so I wouldn't hear the gunshot. I did, got on Gamefaqs and decided to join. The only thing I could think of when deciding a user name was that my horse, Ghost, was dead.

So that is a downer. Sorry.

My signature is a quote from a science fiction series that I liked as a teen. I'm on other places, boards, art sites with the first letter of my name combined with Zeor...so Kzeor.

Username: It's a reference to a nickname my uncle had for me when I was little. My real name is Colton, and he loved watching old westerns, so he'd always call me Colt45 in reference to the .45 Colt revolver. I just kinda merged it with another popular handgun, the .44 Magnum, to get my username.

Signature: The first line can have a double meaning. It means I'm willing to help new players if I can, but I'm also willing to stamp out disruptive players if possible. The second line is just reference info for the guild I'm a part of on the Pokmon trading boards.

Username: My last name and the first initial of my first name. The number is the day of a month I was born on and the extra W at the start is because when creating a email address years ago that email address was already taken so I just stuck another letter at the start.

It means exactly what it says

My school created login info using the first letter of your first name and the first four letters of your surname. I couldn't think of anything I liked better as a username for the internet so I used it for a while. Now I've accumulated too much karma to just give up the account name.

The numbers are just because I like the way it rolls off the tongue.

The first part of my signature is usually a quote from an anime. The current one being from BoBoBo.
The second part is something I saw on a Garfield calendar.

I have actually had my username since I was a sophomore in high school (over 20 years ago at this point). It was my name on Quake 1/2 deathmatch when I was in a clan. It is a horrible misspelling of "Daikatainian" as I created it around the time hype for Daikatana was pretty high. The webmaster for the clan basically came up with this on the site and I decided to stick with it as my Internet alias.

My sig is basically my current position at my job and a joke from Office Space.

Signature - crazy how your memory hangs onto some things. In this case, it was something I saw in the summer of 1991 while on the way up north to see relatives. My family stopped at a store in southern Illinois and while me and my brother checked out the fireworks they had, my mom found something she thought fit my dad to a T (my dad's an avid golfer).

I was a cool 12 year old kid who wanted to use the number 4 for the word for, and this was what came to mind.

Username: it's the name of a dj. Nomak is my name backwards but with a K instead of a T. the 54 is just a number I use with any account, it was the tv channel for cartoons when I was a kid, I've grow attatched :P

My sig: the quote comes from one of my favorite songs of all time: Alvvays's Adult Diversion. The song follows a girl becoming stalk-ishly obsessed with a guy she barely knows. It reminds me of high school teenage relationship drama haha.
