So the 49ers are out half their RBs, some big defenders, Jimmy G, George Kittle, and now their entire WR corps because of covid.

consider me shocked that the Packers did well tonight. it goes to show how good the Vikings (meaning, Dalvin Cook) might actually be despite their record.

but also this is clearly a shell of a 49'ers team. I hate them so I don't mind.

I had a trade vetoed this week that would have seen me get Cook and Kelce, and I am now a sad, sad man.

It was completely fair too, the stated reason was essentially, "wow this makes your team not have any weaknesses, we don't want to hand you the championship", which is bullshit but what can you do.

Cook and Kelce for Kamara and Ridley. 14 team league where we start 3WR, 2RB, 1 TE, 1 Flex, so WRs have good value. I have 4 good to great RBs due to good drafting, whereas most struggle to find 2 to start, and I hit on late guys like Jefferson. I have nothing at TE, but could have then easily flipped my extra RB to fill the hole at WR, and truly had zero weaknesses.

Now I'm essentially going to have to take a big loss trading one of my RBs for a TE with a pulse just to have someone to put there. It's also a big bench league so the waiver wire is essentially non-existent. It's actually my favourite league because it rewards good drafting, which is my favourite part of fantasy.

Yeah you only veto stuff if its obviously a behind the scenes deal. If the other person is like 0-8 and trading because "fuck it my seasons done", sure. Anything else that gets vetoed means you have a bad commish

Yeah, it's why in one of my other leagues where I'm commish, I handle all vetoes, and have never had to veto something. I want to avoid situations like the one that screwed me.

Think I definitely favor the Cook/Kelce side of that but that's not an egregious trade by any means. Your league sucks for vetoing that.

Before the Kelce for Montgomery/Harris trade happened we vetoed a Kelce for Goedert/Harris/Crowder/Kittle trade. It's a keeper league so even with Kittle done, the guy could have kept Kittle...which didn't make sense since he had Kelce. But 4 for 1 trades are bogus so we shot it down but it was a close vote. They then came back with the revised trade that went through...much to my dismay.

that 67-yard kick would've been long enough if it had been straight, too bad

Yeah I agree, he's the one that offered me the trade and I instantly accepted it. There have absolutely been worse trades that haven't been vetoed in that league this year. I've been in this league for a long time though and I know it's less of a personal thing against me and more of a, "well this is the best team in the league right now and this trade makes it better, which will negatively impact the rest of us".

I'm 5-3, but have scored 100 more points than the next team and 2 of my losses were by literally .12 points both times.

Kelce was also traded in my league this week for Aaron Rodgers which I think is a silly trade. Especially as the person trading away Kelce is a first year player so probably doesn't understand the value of players. Either that or because he has a bad team, he's sending him to a relative to increase his chances

Yeah vetoing simply because a good team is getting better is dumb. The guy who got Kelce has been in the championship 3 years in a row (off the back of being able to keep Kamara in the 10th round during that time but he's also just good at fantasy football) and is looking to be there again for a 4th time but we didn't veto the revised trade.

This though could easily be argued for COLLUSION! And I would have taken a hard look at that one.

Do the words "trap game" or "premature celebration" mean anything to anybody itt?

Gilbert has absolutely proven he deserves the start next week and that the Cowboys are fools if they go back to Dalton instead of seeing what else Gilbert can do.
