The most recent examples I can bring to the table regarding people I have talked to:

1) Thinking ADHD and other congnition disorders doesn't exist just because they don't understand think everything related to your mind may be overcomed by 'trying your best'

2) Refusing the concept that there was no 'before the big bang' in the universe because time didn't exist

3) women refusing to lift weights because they believe they will become too buff, when it takes years for that to happen to men.

Especially when it comes to ethics. If someone is convinced your views are bad, you're gonna have a hell of a time convincing them otherwise.

2) Refusing the concept that there was no 'before the big bang' in the universe because time didn't exist

It's pointless to either refuse or accept that there was a "before the big bang". We have absolutely no idea, and presently (and perhaps permanently) have absolutely no way of knowing. Not only that, there isn't even a commonly accepted theory of what that may have been.

In other words, while you have a point, the opposite is also true. It's very possible there was no before the big bang, but it's also possible there was.

@faramir77

No offence but this shos you don't understand the concept. Time is part of the spacetime continum.

If space didn't exist neither did time.

Aliens I just don't think about that much.

Ghosts I believe in but not as our departed loved ones (So investigators trying to 'communicate' with them looks extremely awkward and makes their case seem weak).

For one thing, could someone tell these 'professional' ghost hunters to stop trying to call out to spirits in ENGLISH? Also, don't get me started on spelling out things on Ouija boards in English. If you want to get logical, most dead folks would be trying to spell out stuff in the native language they died with. I'm not a skeptic, but I can see why there are folks who don't believe (in ghosts).

That's exactly what my point was. I misinterpreted the double negative in your original statement.

Space and time as we know it didn't exist before the big bang. It's entirely possible that there was something prior to the big bang, just not our universe.

If we look at the laws of physics, then they work in a specific way.
If we go down on a sub-atomic level, then they work different.
If we go further away in the other direction, then we might have them work in a different way again. The universe is expanding in a way we cant explain with the laws of physics, so we create dark energy to make our laws of physics work on a bigger level.
Now think of a black hole. It sucks in matter and pulls them apart on a sub-atomic level.
What if the whole universe is just the remains of a big Ura-atom from something much bigger than we can understand that got ripped apart from a black hole. It got a whole different level of physic laws that we can never guess. And since the whole universe is stuck in that black hole, it continues to rip apart the matter, which is why the universe keeps expanding. Our black holes might work the same, each atom ripped apart creates its own universe that follows a different set of law of physics, that might or might not be able to host life.
