By the way, on the topic of the trolls, I think it's hilarious how far we've come with them. They started out seeming minor characters that just seemed like they were being jerks for the hell of it - I would never have guessed the dude yelling at John in all caps in the first act would later turn into my favorite character. Homestuck really has a way of turning little things into big things later though. Now the trolls almost feel like the main characters.

I'm definitely gonna be reading through it from start to finish once it's done.

I actually started reading during 5.1, and caught up I think right around when Vriska was introduced.

I started just as 5.1 began and caught up just in time for Terezi to be formally introduced. Which was amazing because she was already my favorite character by then.

I never said I had no issue, as I do acknowledge the act is kinda dragging on a bit. I was an archival reader up until Februaryish, i forget the exact page, but yeah...some form of pause for the eventual archival reader would be nice. *grumbles at the week long pause for now*

As we agree, it is a minor thing. Still, the whole thing is homestuck, and an inserted break would not change much because if you are an archival reader, you'll plow through the act divisions anyway. I found when reading that if I hit too many pesterlogs, a little break before returning to them was good for the eyes/brain, especially late at night >_>;;

I wonder what will happen once homestuck is finished ._.

I remember reading that Andrew was initially unsure about whether we'd actually see the trolls at all. Like, they could've just been confined to pesterlogs with the kids.

Guess his gameplan changed drastically there.

I'm glad there's at least some salamander appreciation. There needs to be more of it. The consorts are my favorite characters, they're f***ing hilarious. I wish we would see more of Rose's and hopefully we'll see more of Jade's.

Virtually every character in this thing has some merit, by virtue of being in this thing if nothing else. Sure, some are more awesome than others, but that only highlights the awesomeness of the awesomest. That the awesome and not awesome vary between everyone does nothing to diminish this opinion.

Appreciate homestuck in its entirety, not just the tidbits here and there you happen to agree with :p

Though, I think most of us do this anyway and just enjoy quibbling with semantics >_>;;

And for the ever changing record...Scratch, Vriska, Terezi, Karkat, Nepeta in a very rough order mostly influenced by more recent events. Tomorrow's top 5? Who could say o_o

Personally, I can't really see putting Sollux in top 5 or bottom 5. He's done so little in the story, despite seeming like one of the more important trolls in very early Act 5-1. I tend to ignore judging underdeveloped and underutilized characters in the midst of an ongoing storyline.
