Now that we're getting close to the quarter-finals, and there are some decisions obviously worthy of comment!
From the accepted:
First and most obvious: WHY WOULD YOU SEND ECHO THROUGH?
The animal acts are horrible. Because animal acts like that ARE horrible for Vegas shows. They are too unpredictable to be the center of ANY act, and ECHO SHOWED WHY. You have an audition that stops early because the bird refuses to respond and you PUT IT THROUGH? I understand that the other animal acts were even worse, but that just means send NONE of them.
Frank Miles should have been passed. His knife-dive was lame - It managed to take massive danger and make it unconditionally boring, whil losing anything interesting he had from his original act(which is probably good because he couldn't compare to peachock)
I love Kinetic King, but he has no place here. He's a minor act - You CANNOT turn that into a million dollar show as cool as it is - It would have to be part of another act, and does not stand up on its own.
And I agree with Piers on Funny Little People. Ditch them, please.
Mona Lisa - Legitimate talent, but flat out dull. Step it up or get out.
I really can't decide on the Summerwind Skippers.
And last but not least: Dani should not have gotten a second audition. She made her choice, but more importantly, she only got there BECAUSE SHE PLAYER HER OWN MATERIAL. It was a parody, but she wrote it. If they accepted her for that, they should have denied her for her act.

Michael Turco not going through was a travesty, especially with so many spots being wasted on joke acts. He had one technical flaw but amazing presentation.
Maybe it's just me, but BGP was incredible, and should have gone through. I loved their original audition, and they should have been passed through, easily.
LD Dance Company was pure Vegas and showed such dedication to their craft - Again, wasted spots screwed them.
Also - Fearless Flores Family, Captain and Maybelle, and Professor Splash had NO PLACE being put through instantly. This goes without saying.
And last but not least: Dani should not have gotten a second audition. She made her choice, but more importantly, she only got there BECAUSE SHE PLAYER HER OWN MATERIAL. It was a parody, but she wrote it. If they accepted her for that, they should have denied her for her act.

I'm not saying she's a bad performer - I loved all her performances, but she did not deserve that second chance. You could make an argument over whether or not she deserved to go on from that first Vegas audition, I suppose.

Well, that's like the issue I think. They put her through the first time based on original writing and then she comes around a second time and does something original and they're suddenly like "yo don't do anything original, dummy." It was just all weird... like they were being totally inconsistent, so I'm not really bothered that they gave her another shot.

FFF I can understand, but Captain and Maybelle were almost rejected. I hated watching them.

Of course a singer is going to win. They might as well call the show America's Got Singers and some other talents that won't make it as far as they should. But I guess the title is too long. Maybe AGSASOTTWMIAFATS has a better ring to it.
It seems like they didn't pass as many singers this time around, but there's still tonight's show for a few more to go through. If they still have a couple spots left to fill, the singers are the "safe bet".
I didn't have any big problems with the choices here - A couple odd ones, but not terrible.
I would have liked to see the fire dancer kid go through, but not a huge loss, and I'm happy with it.
What I'm NOT happy with is that there are a lot of acts MISSING. Some of which I've been looking forward too - Mrs. Smith, the Piano guy with the vambraces, and the dancer with three heads for instance.
I was shocked Leonid didnt make it. It's not like he was a one trick pony like samb. He had variety, he did acrobatics, dancing, quick change, and drag. Pretty much able to hold his own show in vegas. But for some reason they kick him out every time.
Ricky Martin guy and Sam B, two stupid acts made it through. More so that Sam B got though, he is a fat guy that dances. Why on earth would he worth 1,000,000 and a vegas show? At least RIcky Martin guy could sing and dance and have some more swagger than the other guy.
Lil T was a waste of space in the first place. Hooray another crushed child's dream because for some reason his mother didnt try to save him the humiliation.
If the kid, on his own, wanted to be on AGT, then his mother should've said "maybe when your older, blah blah make up an excuse because no way in hell is he going to make it to the end."
And if his mother said "I'm going to milk my sons cuteness while running the risk that his dreams of dancing might get shot down" then she needs to be pimp slapped.
Thats pretty much how I feel about any child solo act. (I feel a little different about child involved in dance coups or other shows).

Well yea Sam B and RM2 are funny. But the purpose of this show is to find the "next big act" so to speak.
Putting them through and giving them the actual hope that they might win is just terrible. The judges shouldve told them "you guys definitely wont win, but we will put you through because youre f****** hilarious."

But their NOT fun. I think the novelty acts (both the bike people, yo-yo guy, magicians...) that are actually talent are what makes this show fun. Not stupid people who have no talent just making fools of themselves.
