She's a semi-regular customer at my work. She came through my line near when I started cashiering, I commented on her shirt, and we got into a big nerdy discussion, and she keeps coming back.
Today, she waited in my line even though it was the longest and even passed up a chance to leave it, and while I rang her up we talked about books and author signings, and I told her about how Terry Pratchett is going to do a reading and signing. Apparently now we're both going to be going there >.>;
You have to get together with this girl, for me. She's a Star Wars fan, and she's cute. I'll never get a chance to hook up with a girl who is both a Star Wars fan and cute, because I already have a girlfriend that I will be with for life, and she hadn't even seen the Original Trilogy before she met me.
Makes me sad.
At least she likes Star Wars, she's just not a fan. Star Wars is my life though.

......How about I at least learn her name before I start thinking of hooking up with her >.>;
Although I feel your pain. I'm a huge music fan. I dated a girl who never listened to music. At all. Her ipod was collecting dust.

Or her AIM user name! I started a modestly successful relationship like that. And if she thinks it's funny that you're asking for something internet-related instead (discounting typical social networking; back when I did this that wasn't so full-blown yet and myspace sucks) then you have a real winner!

Mine became a pretty big Star Wars fan once I showed her the movies. Yours didn't? :\
The best thing about dating a nerdy girl is exchanging nerdy interests, ive shown her mecha anime like gundam and e7, plus joss whedon aka buffy and firefly, shes given me babylonn 5, battlestar galactica, and deep space 9, after us both starting with star wars, eureka,and star trek movies/ TNG.
It really was like getting a new best friend i slept wit.

You are going to spend so much time idolizing this girl that you'll end up scaring her off.
Instead, try treating your interactions like it's no big deal, and acting funny and playful. That will attract her way more than going googly eyes over the fact that a good looking nerd girl is actually interacting with you.

yeah, itss really the differeemce betweem a girlfriend and a girl youre fooling around with. girlfriends have similar interests and opinions you want to hear in addition to a body you like

Oh, I'm not expecting anything to come of it or idolizing anything. She's a good looking nerdy girl, but I know plenty of those, and I'm more interested in a good person/friend, as I don't have many really close friends(or at least ones I consider close) so if there's that, then I'll be happy :)
Dauntless Hunter posted... Wait you don't even know her name? You better find out soon because you're fast approaching the point where it becomes awkward to ask.
It's not all that unusual :P She's a customer, I don't know most of their names. I'll ask her next time I see her.
YetAnothrShadow posted... I'm sure this must've been mentioned before but don't beta out and act modest about things. If you're interested in her. show it.
I've showed it pretty well so far. And I made sure to let her know about Terry Pratchett, which has apparently scored me awesome points with her :3
You could've been slick and just gotten her name off her credit card when she paid. Unless she used cash in which case she's probably poor so you should stay away, she'd only be interested in your big cashier bucks.

She used a card I believe, but we don't handle their cards when they pay.
