*DS9 Spoilers* - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - During the production of DS9's fourth season the producers told the writers to shake things up and include a new and more recognizable arc alongside the burgeoning Dominion threat. Klingons were the answer and Worf was a surefire bet to stop viewership hemorrhaging. And it worked too.

In the "Errand of Mercy" episode, the super advanced race they interact with who stops the Klingon-Human war says that one day humans and klingons will be great friends. Pretty funny.
also, seriously yellow, spoilers much?

Yeah, let's knock off the spoilers without warning, these fine folks haven't watched Trek yet!
Oh yeah, "Errand of Mercy" predicted things pretty nicely. My favorite Trek movie, VI, is actually all about that missing link between human and klingon (that's right, I don't capitalize the races, hah) interaction.

Episode 10: Haven When the episode started off with Troi being like IM GETTIN MARRIED I was like "augh", but honestly, this turned out OK. The near extinct race was an interesting equation. Roxanne Troi was AMAZING. RIKER HEART BROKEN MOVED ME. The weak justification for the whole 2 people having dreams of each other thing sucked but oh well, still enjoyed the ep.
also, the first shot of Riker in this ep is him watching 2 hot babes play the harp, then getting annoyed when he gets called away. "amazing".

Ah whatever, I'd be cool with it SMuffin. But IceLockes have so much ahead of them right now and by the time they're doing they're probably not going to want to see a Federation starship for years.
Haha, Riker. Oh yes. He's suave.

It's Lwaxana to be all perfect about it. Strange name. Strange woman.
The actress is the late Majel Roddenberry, wife of Gene Roddenberry, franchise creator. The lovely Ms. Roddenberry also provided the voice for the computers in all the TNG era shows.
