Board 8 > Why is everyone interested in Ryu and not Ken? *SF spoilers*

Bison wants to take over his body, Akuma wants to make him evil or something. But Ryu and Ken are supposed to be pretty similar right? Is there any storyline explanation for why Ryu is such a big deal and Ken isn't?

Well, board 8 decided to rally and nominate Ken last time for some reason. I was all about Guile, we gotta get Guile in the contest!

And if you're talking about, the story of Street Fighter? Every character has an ending, and Ken is the 2nd player so he's slightly less notable than Ryu I guess.

Also, Chun-Li and Guile are the real stars of the show, baby!

What do you mean interested? Ryu is the generic wanderer hero

Ken is much less of a hero, he just goes around in his car boning chicks.

Plus Ryu has the whole evil counterpart which gives him plot importance.

Ha, okay so Ryu is a homeless guy who lives to fight and Ken is a married guy, so that's the canon explanation for why badguys are more interested in Ryu, happy? And later the dark hadou thing as mentioned, but yeah Street Fighter doesn't have a very cohesive story.

Guile and Chun-Li are what's important here.

I do remember that one SF cartoon from back in the day though, where Bison grabs Ken first but really wants Ryu. So is like Ken a slightly inferior product, is that the gist of it?
