I think it's taking so long because he's had two years to think about where to go from visiting Odessa with Rikku and how that develops whereas Jax was completely off the radar. He wasn't even played with like Vercetti was. He was just, 'No,' so now it's a lot of rearranging!

I had a family emergency over last week and the weekend that required my absence (see: FFVII Mafia, where I had to bow out due to inactivity.)
But yeah everything's 'resolved' now, funeral's come and gone, and various familial obligations are over. So I can get back to work on this.

Also: writing Jax Briggs well is hard. Not for cliched or stereotypical reasons (it's easy enough to avoid writing him as another Barret Wallace or Carl Johnson) but because Mortal Kombat characters in general are so bland.

Eh, half the fun of CYOAs is the unpredictability. But the unpredictability of results and the different lengths and styles of chapters that vary based on choices does occasionally lead to Choice X leading to a longer waiting period than Choice Y.
