How does it feel to be a part of the one true denomination amongst 23480 other denominations amongst 4580 religions?

What denomination?

Also what exactly is baptism? It is one of the few things I don't really understand in Christianity (well Protestantism) I was baptized into Methodism when I was a few months old, but I consider myself atheist now.

Here is how my baptism went:

Some friends and I were at the beach. My best friend recognizes this particular beach and remarks that he was baptized here. He then asks if I want to be baptized. Of course I say yes.

So at sunset, we go to this little cove. We have my friend John do the baptism (you know, the whole john the baptist thing). Since we had no wine, we poured a can of coke into a red cone we had brought to mark the corners of a volleyball net.

So the gave me the first of 7 sacraments. Poured the soda on my head ( I also drank a little before hand). Then I was submerged complete in water. Afterwards they placed a crown of seaweed on my head to represent the crown of thorns. We prayed some more, then all of a sudden another friend out of nowhere tackled my ass and I fell into the water.

Probably one of the most blasphemous things I've ever done. So awesome

This would be more awesome if John wasn't the second most common male first name in the U.S.

But this John is a Filipino immigrant. Next best thing to having a middle-eastern man do it.

Ah, then you can have some awesomeness then >_>;;

David is 6th most common apparently. James is #1

The source I used stems from a 1990 census though, so who knows what crazyness has changed in the world of names since then.

(and lulz, homestuck is the first thing i think of when i see john now)

Not really irrelevant. It was in response to Omega's comment:

So yeah, shut up.

Holy s***. Those are the names of my uncle's two sons. But they were born before that. What a crazy coincidence.
