Yeah, I have both their first two albums, and I like them a lot as well. I'd prolly put them in the top 80 but i felt it was pushing it with six albums from the same band.
And yeah I like the stand ins and I am very far more than them.

Needed something to take my mind off things that just happened, so I got to work on my list. It was tough considering I have boatloads of albums I have yet to listen to, and even more individual songs that I have listened to. Rap got decimated in this regard as I didn't have too many complete albums for the longest time (only 3 are on the list). However the lists everyone gave combined with the albums I already have give me a lot to work with in expanding my horizon. Ask me for a list next year and it would probably be totally revamped.

- Anathema has the most albums on the list with six. No surprise there as they are easily my favorite band and can get me through any time of need.
- I noticed quite a few people have Operation: Mindcrime as their #1 album. I like it. That as well as my #2 are the only two albums I consider to be "perfect."
- Looking at the list it still doesn't quite represent my spectrum of what I like in my music. Some bands that I really enjoy have all their songs spread throughout multiple albums (The Beatles for example). Techno/trance by nature can't get represented well. I went over rap already.
- What it does say is I like my metal in album format. Also the sub-genres you see on my list (prog and power mostly) are pretty much it in what I like in metal.
- Came close to a unique top ten, but it came down to AFDTE's closer being better than Hospice's.
Took about three hours putting this together, time flies. Lotta metal, lotta hard rockin', lotta feeling, my fav stuff right here.

btw i don't know if i told you but that ted leo concert i went to in chicago (for free!) was awesome
they played some "greatest hits" (rude boys, me & mia, bottled in cork and...i forget) and then played tyranny in it's entirety to celebrate the 10th anniversary of it's release
I don't think I could come up with a ranked top three list of favorite albums without hours of hemming and hawing. A minimum of fifty sounds like torture.
