was thinking about screwing with Alistair by forcing him into a political marriage, promising to be his mistress, and then seppuku-ing on the Archdemon, but he got all mad and stuff at me for letting Loghain live. I wonder why ;_;
decided to make Loghain 'redeem' himself. bet that was more painful than a quick death!
well that's another ending down
time to make the queen my b**** as I seek revenge upon Tim Curry

Yeah, it's really crazy how different the game can turn out dependent on your choices. I mean I guess that's why so many people hated DA2... but I love the hell out of both of them. I really hope both the Hero and Hawke are in DA3.
Hell, I love the choices, but I love the fact that I keep finding stuff I missed the first two times when I go back and actually look. I realized I never actually fully explored Ostagar in the prologue before this time!
And man oh man, the fact that it feels like A Song of Ice and Fire is amazing

People hated DA2 for a variety of reasons. - It had atrocious pacing - It removed the choice of origin aspect of the previous game for no reason, and it's not like DA2 was somehow Hawke's story, because in the context of the game is Hawke is just some dude who happened to be in the right place at the right time - They lazed out and didn't bother making a female dwarf model, so literally every single dwarf is male even though they were gender equal in the previous game - So many reused dungeons and textures and rooms - For some insane reason, they made every single non-boss fight "how many waves of respawning enemies can you fight?"

There is no reason that female dwarves should have been in DA2. It's not like you discover a dwarven city that's completely filled with males. Also, you fight waves of enemies because having 20+ critters on the screen would mess with the framerate. Also, an origin story would have been dumb.

You encounter plenty of dwarves. It's even more noticeable in Legacy where you fight like fifty dwarves per battle and all of them are male, even though it was roughly half-and-half in the previous game. If most of the dwarves you meet are exiled or left because regular dwarves stay underground, about half should be female.
And I didn't mean having a ton of enemies on the screen at once, I meant having more varied and tactical combat instead of battle after battle of respawning enemies, every so often fighting a mage. There are ways of making battles other than "spam AoE."
And why would an origin have been dumb? The origin of a great hero is a key part of, you know, a great hero. It's not really necessary, but given that it was one of DAO's main gimmicks, it seems odd to replace it with... nothing.

I never played on nightmare, I should really give it a shot. Have you played the DLC? I can't imagine beat the harvester on nightmare. Dude was ridiculously hard on hard.
