aside from the name being an homage I wouldn't really say they took a cue from the xeno people, that was a campaign that flew in the face of nintendo not giving a **** what its fans wanted, and nintendo responded with a hearty "lol no". this was started as a result of aonuma pretty much saying "yo if a lot of people request a MM remake we'll do it", kind of the opposite situation really

Yeah, fair enough. I was just referencing the homage is all, though. Obviously, yeah, it's a pretty big difference in substance,

Good play, Nintendo. Now when you release MM3D, which you're probably already working on anyway, it'll make the fans feel like they are listened to when there are "enough" of them. I imagine by end of gen It'll have WW and TP too, sorta like the Super Mario Advance games on the GBA.

I wouldn't be surprised if they have already started on it and did this just as a PR move to offset some of how bad they look for that facebook posting...

I can't see TP coming to the 3DS. I'd sooner expect a 3D remake of the original.

You're just saying that to torture me. Dear god would that be awesome if it played like the original and such a tragedy if it played like any of the games from OoT onward. Give a fixed, overhead camera view or I keep my money, Nintendo (not that I won't buy other stuff from them).

And if they make the hidden secrets as simple as (yep, there's the crack in the wall, blow it) it will in no way be a remake worth having.
