You'd still get tired from strenuous activities, but you won't tire as you go along like normal people do. Instead, you'd just stay up and be unable to sleep.
Ever.
I would do it.

So, I'm assuming that when you get tired from strenuous activities you just relax for a couple minutes and you aren't tired then. If so, I'd take up this offer.
Would there be any way to experience dreams, or dream simulacrums? If yes, then of course. If not, I'd pass. Sure, I'd have more hours to use in a day, but it's not worth losing the wild landscapes of my dreams.

I rarely dream and when I do, it's blurry stuff I've forgotten an hour later. Of course I'd take it. There should be some sort of catch because otherwise this question is rather obvious.
If I never got tired or suffered from issues that come with not enough sleep, maybe. I'd miss out on dreams, but I'd also gain a ton of time. I dunno. There's really no feeling like a dream.

Will not remove this line of my signature until the Seahawks, Jazz or Rockies win a title (Started 5-16-09) Yes, I know I'm never getting rid of this signature
That might be a little too weird to never sleep. I think I would rather be able to sleep one hour a day and be good to go.

From his looks Magus is Macho Man Randy Savage as an anime zombie. The black wind howls, and one of you will snap into a Slim Jim ooh yeeeah! -sonicblastpunch
yes because my dreams have a habit of pissing me off
I woke up before I could go on the ice with Marian Gaborik because it took me so freaking long to get my hockey gear on while the entire stadium was waiting for me
An extra 8 hours a day is extremely tempting, but I love my dreams and that feeling of being "refreshed" after a good night's rest. Tough choice... seriously tough, but I'd go with no. I like sleeping, even if I'm essentially wasting a third of my life doing nothing.
What would really be great is if humans (or just me really, screw everyone else) could flourish on only 2 hours of sleep and could still reach REM stasis in that time frame and wake up refreshed. I'd take that offer up in the blink of an eye!

I dunno... Not sleeping means more than just no dreams, it means not being able to sleep with your partner and get all snuggly all night. I like that, so I don't think I could do it.
Well, I mean you still could lay there with them, but it would be incredibly boring being awake for 8-ish hours or so and not really doing anything.

assuming this doesn't have adverse affects, I'd do it. I have an interest in lucid dreaming and dreams in general, but I hardly remember my dreams and when I do most of them are bad. random excerpts from my dream journal

there's some kind of family gathering at our house and <removed> sneaks in while everyone is sleeping, I see him but at first he gets away. later I realize he is hiding beneath the stairs so I grab a heavy flashlight and a knife to get him, I flash him in the face and stab him. his face is different but I still call him <removed>...there's more to this dream both before and after that I don't remember

I'm in a small town in alaska. at some point I am captured and imprisoned in some kind of paramilitary base. my mom is an enemy there, she tortures me trying to get something out of me but I don't remember what it was. after several failed attempts at escape she threatens to take my eyes out, I make one last run for it. I am successful in getting a good distance from the complex but she comes after me and I am forced to kill her. outside in the town i am able to find someone I know and they help me escape
most of my dreams involve me dying or killing someone anyway, I could do without it to be honest. and I'm terrible at falling asleep to begin with it can take me up to 2 hours to fall asleep sometimes. if I wasn't so terrible at this I might not agree to it but sleep doesn't seem to work out well for me anyway
