Board 8 > Windows 7 is way better than XP

1. Search function kicks ass. It's like google, where it will adjust with each letter you type and can give you a broad range of topics.

2. Closing a program with the Task Manager actually works.

3. Seems to offer more customization, which just takes a little getting used to.

Just make sure you uninstall Norton Antivirus. Man, that thing is so bad. I had trouble connecting calls on Skype, connecting to MSN, my Hotmail account, videos on Youtube, Chrome/Firefox just not working half the time and tons of other stuff. What a bad program.

It's also way easier to fix annoying issues with (from what I've seen anyway)

I'm still using that other one between the two, Vista. And call me crazy, despite it's quirks its also much better than XP.

i have been generally satisfied with 7. as mentioned, searching is nice, and somewhat competent troubleshooting is too.

had a few minor quibbles with some of the look, but it was mostly a cosmetic thing that just needed some getting used to.

all in all, a nice os.

Oh my god I need to upgrade to Windows 7 now. I'm still on Vista, which I actually don't hate like most people, but 7 sounds so much better.

Windows 7 is fantastic.

Windows 8 looks like ass. Which, going by how things have went with Windows, means 9 will be great.

XP had a better search. but both are leagues better than Vista, which isnt' actually a search by any possible definition.

but yeah, 7's better than Vista. my favorite aspect is probably the fact that i can go to another window briefly to look at it without going to it.

One thing I didn't like was the removal of quick-launch. The awesome thing is that you can add this back with a quick online search.
