Board 8 > just finished rewatching 1-2 and 1-3 (PW spoilers)

used to think 1-2 > 1-3

1-3 >>>>>>>>>>>>> 1-2

i mean i would probably rank 1-1 > 1-2 sadly

1-2 is riddled with problems
- I mean Redd White seems like he is suppose to have everyone in his pocket
but i mean Edgeworth had to cause him to regain his composure several times
- April May, i mean she is still fine (except when angry) but she was a terrible, terrible witness, Redd White too for that matter.
- all parts of the investigations were meh i mean it is the first case with any kind of investigating
- the cast of characters; i mean i love april may and redd white and even the bellboy but grossenburg dear god
-Mia coming back and giving you evidence that shouldn't have put Redd White away. I mean judging from the man he is suppose to be you think people committing suicide due to his actions wouldn't bother him at all. Guess he is somewhat human (unlike Dahlia)


1-3 was pretty awesome in fact

-love all the witnesses as they all actually contributed to the case
- Dee Vasquez being the first worthy opponent even though what she did was out of self-defense (i mean when you got the defense and the prosecution going against you can you still somehow maintain your composure good stuff)
- the Edgeworth heel turn (and the point where he realizes the truth is more important than a guilty verdict)


now maybe after rewatching 2-2 and 2-3 i'll have different opinions about those (doubt it 2-2 > 2-3 for life)

Yeah the way they handle Redd White is kind of a letdown. They could have done so much more with him. And the deus ex machina with Mia is probably the single worst thing in the series besides 4-3

yeah, 1-3 is clearly better than 1-2

1-2 isn't as bad as it's made out to be, but yeah, it's not good either

1-2 is great the first time you read through it because you're kinda still in that "HOLY S*** PHOENIX WRIGHT F*** YEAH OBECTION!!!!! TAKE THAT!!!" kinda phase where the very premise of the series is just amazing to you.

But then yeah when you actually reread it and realize it's not all that great.
