Board 8 > Gauging Interest - Movie of the Year

I figure this would be the best time to run a contest like this that doesn't saturate UotY. It's been awhile since a movie contest has been held. I don't remember how the games version did this year or if someone wanted this to replace that next year and go along with UotY. I think it would be fun, is there interest? Would others be willing to run it with me?

And I'm pretty sure it would be better to include every movie and not limit it. Why would you like to limit it to just the 90s?

Okay so it looks like round one is 22 groups. And usually it's the top 22 users from the previous year that get their own division. Why not have open nominations and take the 22 movies with the most nominations? Tiebreaker for placement can be RtM performance.

I'm just worried people will neglect certain movies because they think they're guaranteed in. But perhaps if I made the number of nominations some huge number it would eliminate that thought. I was still planning on doing nominations and hoped that guaranteeing these strong movies that it would make for a nice tournament
