A save screen that shows how many hours you put into the game... not any of that "time of save" bull****, who needs to know that? It is nice to have a date on it, though, so you can pick up a game years later and see how old your date is. Modern consoles might do that automatically with their saves though, I think.
In addition, when you do a manual save, it should show you the save screen so you can see your status, instead of kicking you back into the main game and making you go to the load menu to check your stats.

Another thing: quicksaves in console games. Why are PC's the only one's with this feature?

Kibago posted... character customization. detailed. every 'epic' game should have Guitar Hero level of customization as a minimum. don't make a game with detailed models designed for glorious HD rendering...and then they come in one outfit with one set of weapons. if 'admiring how your game looks' is a goal of yours, i need to be able to use my personal preferences in that.
The sad thing is, Guitar Hero and related games are some of the games that need this the least.
I don't know a single game that actually does this, but the ability to turn off beeping when you're low on health. I'm responsible and pay attention to my low health, I don't need a reminder every .5 seconds.
More JRPGs should incorporate as much as Chrono Trigger as possible. Give me the ability to walk away from NPCs with useless information, no more random battles, stop padding out the game for all the Albions out there, give me a battle system that's fast paced and involving, etc.
