Is there any real indicator that you're part of the ambassador program?

Because I got my 3DS on Tuesday, did a system update, and went to the eShop, but I didn't get any new News at the eShop other than the standard 3.

Oh and I'm going to be gone for about a week with no internet, so if you add me but aren't seeing me as a friend, leave a PM or something.

I bet it's just that the 3DS doesn't actually have an inbox for the eShop news, so when that message was displayed it was just showing the people who were online at the time that they're in the program, then took the message off once the deal ended.

Yep that's pretty much what I was thinking. Since it was a general message and not unit-specific, they had to take it down since everyone who didn't go on yet is obviously not an Ambassador!

Yes, I don't mind universal friend codes so much (as it's essentially the same as a gamertag, just not as easy to remember), although messaging and being alerted when someone adds you seem like no-brainers.

Fair warning: when I went to Walmart yesterday to get my money back, I found out there was only a seven-day limit to coming back for a price-drop...instead of fifteen days like I reported before (which a Walmart-employee had told me...liar!).

haha. nah, buy 1 get 1 50% off. though they also apply to other games - 3DS, DS, and Wii. so options exist outside of just the system if you're interested in a Wii game basically.
