In kindergarten I was moved up to first after a couple of weeks. I was transferred to some teacher who didn't like me because it was unusual for students there to skip and she thought I thought I was better or something. It was actually psychologically damaging and I still have Tourette's from the experience. Middle school was stupid hard. The whole thing. It just sucked. I didn't realize it at the time, but I was miserable and had no friends. School kept getting better as I got older, for the most part. It's pretty sweet :D
Sounds like the reasons we liked/hated a particular time of school are the same, it just happened at different times.
I felt elementary school/middle school was harder to hang out with people beyond school hours cause school ended so late and we were younger. In high school, we had a little more freedom and it ended earlier and there were spares during last period so we had a lot more time to hang out.
High school started at 8:45 for us and I lived somewhat nearby. It was a 25 minute walk from it, so I usually left at 8:15. Also our high school had a lateness problem so if it was too early, many would stroll in 10-15 minutes late, and usually blamed the transit and got away with it (Toronto transit is terrible and unpredictable).
Random thing somewhat unrelated, but I heard from my younger sister/other high school friends' siblings that after the year after our year graduated, the high school just fell apart. Teachers stopped caring, kids got lazier and didn't even try anymore, and then there was an overblown scandal about sexual exploitation between a teacher and a student.

I skipped first and second grade because I had really, really bad asthma and stuff and almost died >_> Thankfully they decided to just put me in third because I was smart or something

I can't remember individual years. I don't like any of them anyways though. The only time I ever wanted to go to school was for field trips and dodge ball in PE. Aside from that it was pretty much boring nonstop.
rammtay posted... We're not all trust fun babies like you. I had no choice. I loved the first two semesters. There were no refunds after the first two weeks. I had no choice but to go through with it.
lol trust fund babies, my dad is an art teacher and my mom does MRIs. Neither paid a cent of my education. Granted I'm in a mountain of debt, but who in America isn't.
