DSRage projects never finish satisfactorily. Don't trust his lies.

and you know that while DSR f***ed up royally and that I in turn f***ed up taking over for him, I at least put a better effort into it especially considering he had time to prepare and I didn't really know what I was getting into... right? >_> Also sorry about not doing a better job >_<

Well, obviously there are a lot of elements in the show that simply can't translate online. From what I can tell, BB online is a lot like Survivor online, only it's an individual game right off the bat instead of existing tribes.
While there will be a topic dedicated to the "house" - a general chat of sorts - there will be a big emphasis on communicating with one another outside the boards as well. PM'ing each other is fine, IM'ing each other is perfect. It's almost like whispering. I have to heavily encourage everyone to talk to everyone, because unlike Survivor, BB is an individual game (unless some twist occurs!), so doing nothing doesn't necessarily mean you'll get taken out right off the bat (whereas in Survivor if you do nothing right off the bat you'll probably get voted out first or second).
Much like when I hosted my board Survivor in early 2010 (went from April to July), there were tribe boards, and a merged tribe board, but a good majority of the social game existed outside of them on the chat clients and whatnot. Likewise with BB (even moreso actually), I heavily encourage talking to everyone whenever you can. Have one-on-one chats, have group chats, do what you gotta do to socialize, because outside of that, you're not really in a locked down house where you're forced to talk.
Challenges would also be twice a week. Maybe a Thursday night for HoH, and Sunday night for PoV. Nominations are made by the HoH by a certain time on Friday night (with the key order too!). HoH will message me the order/nominations, I'll then reveal them, and then the talking begins, building up to the veto on Sunday night (since I doubt many would want any Saturday night comps). PoV ceremony happens probably on Teusday at some point - the PoV winner tells me if he/she wants to use the PoV. If a replacement needs to happen, I'll have the HoH message me with who they want to have replaced in either situation (depending on who gets removed). Then, come Thursday night, votes are PM'd/email'd/IM'd to me at any point before the eviction. No votes are set in stone until a certain time hits, so you may retract your vote if it's before the final time. Also, having a live eviction may happen sometimes, though it gets kinda difficult when some people don't show up. This may change depending on activity.
Those are some of the rough draft details that I explain once I greenlight the game and make a separate topic.
Oh, also, I have nearly all of the challenges already set in stone, so unlike Grodner, I won't be winging them, or rearranging them on the go to favor certain houseguests. I do my damnedest to be as fair as I possibly can for everyone.
Also, unlike Survivor, where I preferred not to talk to the players outside of challenges/tribal councils, I don't mind you guys talking to me whenever you want! I'll basically exist as production, as "Big Brother". And Julie Chen too.

Yeah, the biggest gripe when I hosted board Survivor was finding an even middle ground for when to host the competitions. I want everyone to be able to attend, so it gets difficult trying to adjust it for everyone.
When I do the sign-up topic I'll ask for what times people are available, as well as in which timezone. I live on the east coast, but I stay up late most of the time, so I can work with later times. I had challenges at 11PM EST for my Survivor game.
The edited show uses those days of the week for the episodes, but the actual days of the week is what I was looking for more.
Thursday: (Live) Eviction/HoH comp Friday: Nominations Sunday: Veto comp (this actually happens on Saturday in the show) Monday/Tuesday: PoV ceremony
I think Wednesday for veto ceremony is too late given a Thursday eviction. Those on the block need time to campaign.
Her getting stuck in that honey and being completely unable to get out of it pretty much cemented her as one of the worst competitors in BB history, if not the worst.

FFD is on the block
veto competition: RESIDENT EVIL TRIVIA
It's cool that comp was totally planned in advance. Before the season started. Before I was cast even.
Obviously.

just curious when would you be looking to start the BB game? I may have already asked that I'm not sure.

Naomi, if you do host a BB, make sure you get people that a) will compete and not just show up for challenges (like people who will actually make alliances and whatnot) and b) people who you know will be interesting.
When I hosted BB on Board 8 (these actually finished fyi, because they were fun to host) I made sure the people playing would make the game interesting, and it was. I had Vlado and Inviso who were like a power couple back then, and then other kind of interesting people. You can't just accept everyone because there will be too many people and the early stages of the competition will be boring. If everyone competes out of the gate, it will be good times.
Also, *Presign*. Any night works for me. :D
I am excited. I think you will be a good host for this. I wanted to host one and I know I would have trouble commiting myself as a host nowadays, which is why co-hosting with rammtay would have been good, but I would rather play in one, to be honest!
Also I would suggest a Thursday/Sunday/Monday thing, with votes being due any time on Thursday before the ceremony. I also don't think votes should be allowed to be given ahead of time (like mon-wed) because you want people to be able to be persuaded!
mondays and thursdays are the only days I have night classes

Caelus, I'll be starting it soon. I'm still ironing out the details, but I've got pretty much everything set. I may put up the sign up topic at some point over the next couple days. From there, it's just a matter how quickly I can gather a decent group of people.
I'm definitely thinking HoH comps will be Thursday night, with PoV comps on Sunday. Nominations/Veto ceremony doesn't really need to have attendance. And yeah, I'll rarely allow votes to be cast before the ceremony (usually if a person won't be able to log on during that time period will I allow it, but I'm hoping that doesn't happen).
So I'd be back like 10 and 9:15 respectively. EST of course, the superior time zone.

wouldn't it be more realistic if we had a few uninteresting people and people who only showed up for challenges (to lose)?
I hate it when that happens. Not that I necessarily want Shelly to stay, but we have a much higher chance of getting Rachel off my TV if she does.
But I hate it when they tease (which is what they'll do tomorrow). Like when Dani was trying to convince Rachel to backdoor Jeff in Week 3 and it seemed like she was completely on board with it until "Whoops, I nominated Adam and Dominic!"
