Playing Uncharted 1 is boring. Watching the character interaction and story is entertaining.
Uncharted 2 fixes this by making the game actually fun to play.
Uncharted 3 looks to be pushing the gameplay even further.

First Uncharted is kind of tedious to play but the character interactions are good. Second one has a better mix of gameplay.

Oblivion is a gem upon this Earth except the leveling system is an unmitigated disaster and you need to plan around it, or use the difficulty slider. The latter keeps the game balanced around your particular build, but it feels UNMANLY. I'm assuming you're getting it for a console.

If you're getting Oblivion, IMHO, get it for the PC and download a few mods to fix the leveling system. It's the one major thing about the game I find insufferable. Beyond that, it's great. (At least Bethesda has acknowledged this and appears to be changing the system in Skyrim.) Granted, Morrowind's leveling had some issues, too. I have to admit that the series had a unique take on leveling, which is refreshing, but the whole world-levels-with-you that Oblivion specifically did was terribad.
