lol thor, captain america, all of the spider mans, and xmen 3. First class was ok, but hardly as good as 1/2.

If i have to add a fifth to the elite four comic book movies, its iron man 1.

I have especially single out spider man fans, that series was so cheesy and stupid its ridiculous.

Comic book movies became stale years ago, by about 2006 the genre has been driven into the ground. The occasional great (the dark knight) or above average (iron man) movies still come out, but ya genre has to go.

First Class really isn't that great - I don't get why it's so beloved. You have to ignore the comic books and just take it as a prequel to the movie universe. That's fine. But even then, it has some issues with pace and character development. I'll grant you that McAvoy and Fassbender were really good, but no one else was. Everyone is stupidly one-dimensional and interesting characters like Moira and the White Queen are reduced to sex objects. The actual "First Class" is basically an afterthought to Prof/Magneto/Mystique.

Still the second best X-Men movie though - The first X-Men movie is unwatchable. X-Men 2 is still one of the top 3 comic book movies ever.

Watchmen and V (which I didn't include because they're not really "superhero" comic movies) would probably both be in Average, imo. They're both sort of entertaining, but are far far worse than their comic counterpart - they're both overlong and melodramatic too.

Something tells me this is part of the reason they finally caved to let Ghost Rider in.

Also. Pissing fire. Wut.

Also, Ang Lee Hulk is putrid and always deserves to be bottom of the list.

That's doubtful, the only thing is its known Raimi isn't a Venom fan, but everybody wanted Venom in so that's a concession he made. It's a very Raimi movie, I don't think it was tampered with any more than anything else. He's a huge Sandman fan, and personally I found both Venom and Sandman's plots to be ho-hum in the movie. Despite that though, i do dig Spidey 3, it's overall an entertaining decent flick.

Also agreed the Tom Jane Punisher movie is underatted, fun flick, though low budget etc.

Speaking of which, I'm pumped for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance hell yes! The Crank team, Nic Cage, Ghost Rider, craziness, gonna be glorious.

I think the problem with Spider-Man 3 was not Sony but Raimi himself. Yes, Sony insisted on Venom, but they were right to do it. Green Goblin and Dr. Octopus had already been done, and Venom is the only other Spidey villain who can carry a movie.

Raimi on the other hand apparently behaved like a child. The entirety of Spider-Man 3 seems to be Raimi saying "You want Venom and the black costume in the movie, huh? Well do you want it even if I make it THIS TERRIBLE!!!"

He made the movie bad on purpose.

There's 2-3 good stories in Spider-Man 3. Unfortunately they all get muddled together so none of them get the development they need.

And the Sandman/Uncle Ben retcon is dumb on a number of levels it hurts to go into.

No, the fault was on Sony, because Venom CANNOT carry a movie, and would require another movie to set up decently. On top of that, Venom is just not that good of a character. Raimi knew all of this, and had some great plans for the movie already(and no, GG and Doc Oc are not the only ones that can carry a movie; for that matter, if you hadn't had someone great like Raimi, even Doc Oc wouldn't have been able to carry one).

The scenes that were straight from Raimi, like most of the Sandman related scenes, were absolutely amazing, but the majority of it was ruined by the inclusion of the symbiote and Venom.
