I've seen Return of Jafar maybe twice, but it's been YEARS. I've seen King of Thieves quite a bit more, and I'm pretty sure I watched it somewhat recently, like within the last three years.

I just watched the original Aladdin a few days ago. It's easily my most watched animated movie.

Hey didn't Robin Williams back out of Return of Jafar because Disney used his voice in a commercial when it showed the talking Genie toy in the commercial actually talking or something, and he was all mad because he doesn't do commercials or whatever?

Well then how do you explain that Ocarina of Time 3D commercial he did with his daughter?

At the very least, its still got the same directors, its a shorter film and it doesn't release until Spring 2012, so I'm hoping for quality. I really did grow to love EugenexRapunzi, so I hope this s*** works out.

Instead of spinning off the sidekick characters like Tinkerbell and Timon & Pumbaa, Disney should spin the villains off into their own movies.

He got mad because he was promised that the Genie wouldn't be the focal point of the advertising of the movie, since it was going to be coming out at the same time as his other movie, Toys. They completely ignore him and based most of the advertising around his name and the Genie, which pissed him off.

Anyway, I always found it to be a double-standard how everybody complained about Disney sequels, except for the ones they saw as a child. Everyone was whining about how the Disney "cheapquels" were just uninspired attempts to make more money, yet they had a lot of good talent working on them, people who respected the original movies and wanted to stay true to them while giving the fans the continuing stories they wanted. The fact that they sold well was the clearest sign that there were plenty of people who enjoyed them and wanted them, and yet the complainers won out in the end. Despite the fact there really isn't any difference between Return of Jafar and any of the other sequels besides nostalgic bias.

Was it seriously because of Toys? God that movie was so horrible. If anything he should be glad Disney drew attention away from it. Less people knowing about Toys can only have been beneficial to his career.

Nah there's definitely a difference in quality between Return of Jafar and Return to the Sea. The latter was about as enjoyable as eating dirt and defiles the original The Little Mermaid instead of adding on to it in my honest opinion.

First up, I would just like to say Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo at the prospect of a Tangled TV sequel. I loved Tangled, but man, this feels so wrong.

Secondly, Rescues Down Under is really cheating, because that was the only theatrical Disney sequel, and it shows. This is also why King of Thieves was easily the best of the direct-to-video sequels, because it had much higher production values than the rest.
