It's the greatest thing ever. People either ask silly questions or harass our awful commentators over twitter, and then they fish out the few legitimate questions they can find, and read and answer them live on TV.

We literally lose to the Astros at the end of every single season lately. I think our team feels bad for stealing all their best players in exchange for guys like JA Happ.

Yeah, if their splits are any indication Toronto is probably the 4th best team in the AL. The East is just so stacked it's unfortunate (not only for Toronto.) For example Toronto is 17 - 13 vs. Central, 20 - 15 vs. West, but 29 - 36 vs. East.

Next year they will almost unquestionably be a better team, too. Their call-ups this year have looked great (Thames and Lawrie in particular), they have some promising pitchers coming through the rookie ranks. Hechavarria should, at the very least, get a call-up next year. A full year and some development for Rasmus, etc. etc.

The Jays could be one of the best teams in the league in the very near future.

This topic actually went pretty quickly. This is only the fourth topic, but it's almost finished and it started well after Wake got #199.

On another Red Sox note, at the All-Star Break (11 HR in 89 games/401 plate appearances), the idea of Jacoby Ellsbury joining the 30-30 club this season would have been ludicrous to even consider. Since the break, though, he's been on such a tear that it seems totally reasonable to think he could do it. 15 games left in the season, he needs only one home run per five games to get to 30; he's played in 54 games since the break and has 16 home runs. I have no idea what he's been doing differently since the break, but I like it.
