It's in mostly alphabetical order, with certain characters moved around to fit in a faction. People who are generally unfamiliar with DBZ will notice that there are many characters of the same name. Again, these are different forms of characters, and as far as I'm concerned, they're different enough to make it in as separate characters.

Bold = Winner * = Transformed during the match (Multiple *'s will mean multiple transformations) ^ = Perfect (Lost no health during the match)
In the rare case of a draw (It has happened to me at least once before, so don't say it will never happen), I will simply run the match again to determine the winner, except with transformations turned off to ensure finality. They draw again, I'll restart again, etc. The amount of transformations and perfect matches will be kept track of along with record to determine seeding should two characters that qualify for the playoff be tied in standings. For characters without transformations this obviously need not apply.
And...that's it! Those who want to follow along are more than welcome to comment, predict matches, etc. If anybody wants a summary of a match, just request as much and I'll post it as best I can remember. I realize not many people will be interested in this, but this is more for me than anything. I just figure if someone also wants to enjoy it with me, they can.

Warning: If you've never read/seen DB/Z/GT, and are planning to at some point, proceed at your own risk. I personally wouldn't call listing a fighting roster available to any who look up the game spoilers, but better safe than sorry.
For a long time now I've wanted to do a CPU vs. CPU tournament in a fighting game. I've run a few small, personal ones in all the Smash Bros. games, and Wrestlemania 2000 (Not a fighting game per say, I know, but you get the idea), and while those were kind of fun, they were never really serious. Now that my free time is going to drop significantly in a few months, I figured I do one of these as one last hurrah for myself. Picking the game was relatively easy. I've been watching through DBZ again recently, and I've always loved the Budokai Tenkaichi games. That, combined with the fact that Ulti already did a whole bunch of tournaments with the Brawl AI, made it pretty clear to me which to pick.
So, I'm going to be doing a 30 round "season" for the characters of this game, with the top 32 characters in record going into a post-season tournament to determine the champion. The schedule was generated as a 99 round round robin schedule, and I just randomly picked a few chunks of rounds out of that. I was originally going to do the full 99, but that was just a bit too insane for my taste.
Now, a common theme in the DBZ games is having different forms of characters as separate entities. For the most part, that won't change here. However, partially to cut down on contestants, partially out of convenience, and partially out of personal taste, I have excluded some characters. The following were not included as separate contestants:
-All fusion characters. There's a s*** ton of them, and I just don't have any interest in, say, Gogeta having a roster spot, when separate Goku and Vegeta entities already take up roughly 8 spots on their own.
-King Cold and Chi-Chi, because I haven't unlocked them yet. I struggle with the Cell Games on 3-ball difficulty, and I can't ever seem to be able to summon Red Shenron, so those two will not be included this time around.
-Frieza and Cell's 2nd and 3rd forms, as well as Super Buu's 2 additional forms and Baby's 3 additional forms. I HAVE included Cell and Frieza's first and final forms, and having the others, when there's already so many characters, just felt pointless. Transformations are allowed anyway, so it's not like these characters won't ever show up. And while some may have qualms in that certain characters might turn into other contestant characters via transformation, it's generally pretty rare, and if Cell or Frieza actually made it to their respectful other forms in a match, they probably deserve to win anyway.
-For the same reason as above, all other transforming characters start at base, with an exception to Kibitokai, who I put in to round out the roster. Great Saiyaman and Great Saiyaman 2 (AKA Great Saiyawoman) were included because they can't be transformed into. Same with Majin Vegeta, Kid Buu, etc.
All characters are base, so that means no potaras or anything like that. I realize this means characters like Nappa and Recoome have an additional health bar over most characters, but I've already run the first round, and one of them lost to a standard 3-bar character, so that just helps me be assured this won't be a problem. Same deal with giant characters; yes, they have an inherent advantage, but TWO of them have already lost to normal size characters, so, again, it doesn't mean much in the long run. All of the fights will occur on Wasteland - Noon. It's nice and simple with no water or big obstructions, while not completely flat and lifeless like the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. I will consider changing things up come playoff time, but that won't be for awhile.

You probably see that little oddity in the schedule there at the bottom. This was caused by me not unlocking both Fasha and Spopovich until last night, so I had to go through the effort of throwing them into the schedule. Since I had already done the first round, I just had them face each other for their first match.
Anyway, some pretty good matches in this first batch. Goku vs. Pure Evil Buu came down to a Kamehameha beam struggle. Cell Jr. and Chiaotzu did pretty well against their opponents, taking both down to the low yellow before being over come. Hirudegarn only lost because he stood around powering up while Buu healed himself with the Sleep ability, while Janemba also helped prove being giant doesn't make you an auto-win by getting his ass kicked more than anyone else in the first round.

Oh, I forgot a few things. Not that most of them are important, but things I'd like to point out/say:
The CPU's are on Very Hard level. Standard time limit. The characters I'm rooting for: Scouter Vegeta, Raditz, Jeice and Nappa, in that order. My best character is Majin Vegeta.

A lot to talk about with this round. First of all, and most hilariously, those three stars aren't a typo; Frieza indeed transformed all the way to Final Form in his fight with Nappa, only to still lose (Nappa dominated the whole fight, but just as Frieza would be on the brink of death he'd transform to heal himself a bit, only to start the cycle again). And, in general, there were a lot more transformations this round compared to the last.
Other interesting notes: Chiaotzu won, which I wasn't expecting for awhile. Gohan proved himself to be a total joke as usual, only able to win when fighting himself. Ultimate Gohan losing to Babidi was the funniest though, because Babidi actual almost got a perfect on Gohan until he got a few shots in before dying miserably. All in all a good set, IMO.

Some very good matches this round. A lot of them were "story" matches, which means they had special dialogue for the combatants, and that's always fun. Anyway, some highlights include Nappa making a joke out of Dr. Wheelo to give him his first loss, Vegeta sweeping the androids, and Spopovich continuing to dominate (along with Kibitokai). Also, you have to feel bad for Hercule, seeing as he was facing a giant character, and thus literally couldn't hit him with anything but punches and grenades. Other semi-interesting things: Arale beat the Hell out of Turles, and Super Buu still refuses to transform for some reason.
But the biggest story of this round was Broly vs. Tapion. Tapion was whoopin' him something fierce, even when Broly was an SSJ, and soon Broly was down to about three-fourths of a health bar. But when he transformed into the Legendary Super Saiyan we all know and love/hate (Depends on the person), he made up two bars of health on Tapion, and ended up winning. Future opponents need to be wary of this.
This marks the last of this schedule block; next one will be a lot different, as far as opponent placement goes.

Legendary Super Saiyan Broly is arguably the best character in the game, he destroys the AI since he's super armored to 80% of the cast (only Super Perfect Cell and SSJ3 level and up characters can hit him normally.)

Decent round, though it took way too long to get through. Scheduling and what not got in the way, and let's not forget my little friend procrastination.
Anyway, some interesting results, though there were only a couple of really close matches. Mid-Goku and End-Goku was the closest, as both were down to just a tick of life before End-Goku went SSJ2 and spammed energy blasts until the other was down. Broly once again goes Legendary after taking a beating and comes back to win. 13 actually managed to dodge Shenron's Blazing Storm attack during that match, and anyone who's played this game knows how tough that is.
Biggest victory, of course, goes to Hercule! He finally won! Hurray!
