I never buy anything on Steam if it isn't on sale, and i never know something's on sale unless someone else tells me. I've played Civ 4 for years, and have stayed away from 5 until now. And here I thought I actually was going to have some free time to do other things this...year. (Well, two months and three days, anyway.)

I'm glad I bought it 2 weeks ago for 8.

It's worth full price, so yes, it's worth the price of a nice lunch! The deluxe edition gives you a $5 Civ (Babylon) for $2.50. If that sounds enticing, get it.

Combat is where Civ V went right. Eliminating unit stacks makes combat much, much better. It's a bit of a shame what they did to cultural victories, though.
