Yay being paid for playing video gaems. Still leaving that ****ty job with that ****ty manager tomorrow though. Topic about him purged so here's a little update : Since the last post the health inspector came like 3-4 times and closed the restaurant for a day once cause it was too freaking dirty (and I agree it was), everybody is leaving the ship, most employees with experience are leaving because they're fed up with all this crap, only people left are employees who can't work more than a day a week and people who worked there for like a week.
Rush hours will be hilarious starting this sunday.

I work at a small fast food in some shopping mall's food court, asian themed I guess ! **** sucks, most of the food is rotten 75% of the time and we still sell it, manager is so stupid I have to do his job even if I work minimum wage.
Glad I'm done with this after tomorrow, what a nice birthday gift.

Well the boss kinda deserved it. Like my friend worked 48 hours in a row to make payments for his new cars but his boss didn't gave him his money because he didn't believe he really worked for that long. I would've been pissed too.

A waterpark ! And 48 hours in a row isn't the biggest shift I heard of, my sister did 72 hours in a row once, her boss allowed her to sleep and she was paid for it though, she works in a bakery.

I remember from the other topic. Parting ways with a food service job that caused you nothing but insanity is a good thing Ayuyu and I'm saying this as someone who also left such a situation. Don't listen to the haters. You did what you had to do. I left a food service job that was driving me f***ing nuts. A friend/former coworker who felt the same way as I ended up assaulting someone a few months later and is in jail now... and in a separate incident, a member of management was lucky to have been given the chance to quit rather than face assault charges.
All these "suck it up and enjoy your s*** minimum wage job and praise anyone above you who would bend you over" haters don't know what insane, literally unbelievable (due to insanity) jobs are like the way we do! Good job, man. You've acquired valuable experience and perspective through that other guy's failures.

Think your friend is lying tbqh. Find it hard to believe that he worked 48 hours in a row, apparently undocumented, and couldn't have anybody back up his claim so he punched his boss in the face and left like a badass without getting charged for assault.

Well the thing is that my friend as I had to register himself in the computer at the start of his shift and same at the end. Problem is that his boss thought he just forgot to unregister because of the length of the shift, which is kinda understandable but rage worthy anyway.

Seriously I'll be mefiant of fast foods from now on. Also prepared meals in grocery stores, my roommate works in one and they do them with out-of-date food (including meat).

Your roommate must work for a s***ty grocery store. I've worked at two -- one of them didn't give a damn and the other definitely did. It's all about where you are.
Sometimes it's a little hard to tell just from the way a store/restaurant looks how good its practices are, though.

I've seen two people get jobs for ten dollars more at my place of work that quit without two weeks notice because they've been treated like s*** constantly. And they said they wanted them to start immediately, so what can you do?
I generally don't have sympathy for a company if you quit without two weeks notice when they treat you poorly.
