He's fighting invisible enemies, though -- if Seymour is going to camp the base, then he can't dispel.

In any case, I'm kind of skeptical about Seymour dispelling the invisibility in the first place. If Seymour were fighting Zeratul or someone, would he waste time standing there casting dispel instead of attacking? Offhand, I don't recall Seymour having any experience with magical invisibility such that he'd necessarily think "this is a buff, I should cast dispel."

Well if the enemy team isn't camping somewhere they can't really use invisibility to its optimal use with the short duration as they won't know for sure they're coming on the enemy. So if they come to Seymour and he's camping he's going to know to dispel the entrance (or blast it-- either works really).

Also I think this is one of the few matches where MP may come into play. Jake may simply run out of mental energy casting buffs repeatedly and healing Duke repeatedly early in the match (cause as I said he has no knowledge his healing won't work so he may use a good few fruitless castings). As I understand it he's not really a hardcore caster so yeah.

So how many times does he try to heal Duke at the start of the fight before he realizes it isn't going to work. Then assuming he does realize it isn't going to work and doesn't just brute force it for the whole minute until it does, does he know to heal Duke later or is Duke a dude who is completely gassed and all but worthless for the duration of the fight.

Questions worth thinking about!

Duke isn't injured at the start of the fight. Like I said, that's not how Mercs Heartless Angel works.

"Sephiroth has hit Duke with Heartless Angel, completely draining his mana and making him extremely frail to the point where it'd be easy to OHKO him."

The effect is described as being "extremely frail" -- i.e., a loss of durability. So Duke walks around with Bub-like durability for a minute, and then at the end of that period regains his normal durability.

I disagree. I take extremely frail to mean that he's like an old person in critical condition. Frail meaning his health is terrible.

Let's say you're right though. Duke probably isn't aware that he's frail then since he's apparently performing at peak health.

Duke: BALLS OF STEEL am I right? High five Chief!
*Chief high fives Duke, killing him*

or...

Duke: Ooh a suit... I like that kind of classy girl. Take it off and shake it baby!
*Samus kicks Duke in the crotch, killing him*

or...

Well the possibilities are endless. And they spell disaster for the Duke.

There may also be microscopic organisms in the water. Just one attempt at compromising Duke's system means he'll die. Or perhaps the water around Lemu was treated with chlorine or something-- that is irritating to the skin and could feasibly kill the Duke.
