Since it was only $15 on PSN a couple weeks ago, and I finally downloaded it last night. Should I be playing any of the bonus content before I beat the game? Or is it better to save that stuff for the end? I heard it's all scaled, so I just want to do what makes the most sense story-wise.

Well, I think they stop scaling too or something, actually. I'm pretty sure there are specific level ranges where it's best to do them, or at least for most of them, I think that the Underdome is an exception.

The Zombie Island DLC doesn't have anything to do with the main story, but it does have end-game spoilers in it, so you probably shouldn't don't do that until after you beat the game. Then I know that the Secret Armory continues the story from its end, so that's another thing you probably shouldn't do until later. I may be wrong, but its enemies may have static levels, as well, at around level 35, so it's pretty much impossible any earlier than that.

This game is freaking awesome. I'm just playing by myself right now and I'm still loving it. I've never been big on shooters, but I love picking up loot, and there are enough RPG elements in there to keep me satisfied. Playing as The Siren and probably going to go the elemental route.

and yeah, it's incredibly fun. not sure what about it exactly stands out as far as shooters go early on, but it just feels good and then you get to the really, really awesome weapons.

Lilith > all. She may not have any particularly good damage-enhancing skills (besides a SMG damage mod,) but with the crazy amount of utility you can get in all her skills and particularly in amping up phasewalk, you can really use anything you want with her.


* Moxxi's arena isn't related to the game and is 100% scaled to your level. It has a bank, however, so you will want to teleport there for that.
* Zombie Island can be done from level 1 since it scales just fine, but it's tough if you go in early, and the rest of the game does NOT scale to your level, so you could trivialize the normal game content.
* Knoxx is meant to strictly come after the main storyline. It wasn't released until I had already beaten the game on Playthrough 2, so I went in at level 50. I understand it's pretty tough on PT1 if you go straight to there after finishing the main story.
* Claptrap's is an unknown to me. They took too long to release it, and so I never got it. I lent my game to a friend, who borrowed it for nearly a year and I just recently got it back.
