Spearman as protagonist makes sense because people always say "Spearman vs Tank" and not "Tank vs Spearman"

there is no question that the Spearman is the bad guy in reality here, though

the spearman vs tank fiasco is entirely one created when your tank loses to a computer spearman

we can invent fanciful stories of heroism and struggling against technology all we want but at the end of the day the greek spearman just killed your tank

Speak for yourself. I don't usually start wars in Civ, and I play on high difficulties, so I'm the one with the Spearman, heroically defending my capital after all the Infantry have been killed by the computer's Tank stack of doom.
