Is it worth my money if I can only play single player (none of my friends like these kinds of games)? Is it, you know, fun and everything?

It's fun. Depends on how you like games. Have you played other beat em ups alone and found them enjoyable? Like Castle Crashers, Turtles in Time, etc? If so, you'll enjoy Scott Pilgrim alone. If not you won't.

honestly i didn't really like it

maybe i'm weird

but even for a beat em up it was kind of too mashy and nothing else

and it was kind of annoying to line yourself up with items

It was worth the couple bucks it costs, imo. Really short, but a fun experience. Wouldn't replay it alone though!

Also it has amazing music.

The only problem is that it's going to be really hard and you'll probably have to grind.

Eh, I didn't have to. Only time I grinded was when I was running low on health and needed monies to buy food. Second difficulty, btw.

If you played early on, they adjusted the difficulty of Normal (or whatever the easiest is) so that's not nearly as much the case anymore.

Definitely worth the cost. Apparently it's most like River City Ransom, if you ever played that.

beat em ups are never fun by yourself. get better friends!

The last beam-em-up I play was like over a decade ago, save for The Simpsons sidescroller thing at bowling alley arcades. Unless you count Viewtiful Joe, which probably doesn't count.

Still, I like the sound of this. Difficulty doesn't scare me much.
