I'm setting up two controllers through two bluetooth adapters I bought. Problem is that while my computer recognizes the adapters in every usb slot (and sees them both), MotioninJoy only recognizes them in one slot (so it can only see one adapter at a time). Which means I can pair one controller at a time. It kinda sucks.

Also unless there's something obvious I'm missing you have to go to Profile -> Enable in MotionInJoy every time you reconnect your controller if you want the computer to recognize that the analog sticks exist.

I'm thinking at this point I'll just return all this stuff and use my PS2 -> USB Adapter which is a lot less of a headache!

yeah PS2s are the best thing and adapters are also good.

it's a shame though because the PS3 has a slightly more comfortable dpad and is wireless. It's a good tradeoff. but these things are impossible and I give up!

Yeah you can hook them up through USB. With the drivers from MotionInJoy I can do that right now with both controllers. It's just getting them both to hook up wirelessly through Bluetooth at the same time that's troubling!

Something I've always thought about but never tried; if you had a USB adapter on your computer, could you hook up the PS3 controller via the USB connection with the charger wire? I know it wouldn't be plug-and-play, but it wouldn't be too complicated after that point, would it?

Neat. Not that I'd want to do that; I like my Saitek P990.
