This is the only division thats really stumping me, i hear people saying different things and although i'd like to say Phoenix/Edgey take it... I dunno. I currently have:

I have phoenix/edgeworth winning but I would call Frog/Magus or Alucard/Dracula the favorites.

Still a day match. Alucard and all Castlevania stuff does far better at night, while Xbox stuff does far better at day because more Americans are voting during the day.

Not joking my logic is:
I would take Jecht over anyone in this division in a 1 on 1 match
Jecht didn't beat Phoenix by that much.
Lower vote totals should help them out since the Ace Attourney series is pretty niche.
Phoenix/Edgeworth is the best rivalry in the bracket.

Its still been proven that on weekends, a higher % of the votes come from America during day matches than during the night.

I'm feeling great about Frog/Magus winning it. This is most likely going to be a contest with low votals, and that's an environment that does wonders for CT characters; and the only time Frog/Magus is facing any noteworthy competition is in Round 3, which should be the sprite round. Low votals + a picture with Frog/Magus sprites = GG.

As for everyone else? I feel like the winner of Alucard/Dracula vs. Shepard/Saren is winning the four-pack, and I'm currently leaning towards Aludrac because of the hype. The ME2 duo definitely shouldn't be counted out, though, and I might switch back to them. The Ace Attorneys vs. Gordon/Breen is tough too, but I'm planning to go with the former.

I do agree Shep is the underdog, though. He beats Alucard 1 on 1, but it depends on how big of a factor Dracula is since Saren isn't really going to be helping Shep much. Dracula bombed during the Gamespot contest, so it does give me confidence not many people care enough about him to really impact the match.

I know Phoedge is a kind of B8 thing, but surely other people play the games, enjoy them, and see the great rivalry that it is. We surely didn't control SO much of the nominating process that they got a 1st seed... (Then again X/Zero did...) But yeh.

It had 1/4th the nominations the last contest did. B8 had a massive impact on the seeding this time.

Well, I can almost guarantee that almost every non-b8er who nominated listed Mario/Bowser. Not to mention some b8ers nominated it as well.

Even though Phoenix can't beat Gordon, this is Phoenix/Edgeworth we're talking about here. I'm quite sure he'll do quite a bit better than if he were against Gordon one-on-one Also, I imagine he'll have the pic advantage, too..

What concerns me is the hype train Phoenix will get from UMvC3. How much of a boost are we talking about, and how long will it last? I've got Wright/Edgey against Alucard/dracula and the winner of that faces frog/magus.

So if the AA duo can beat the 'Vania team, is it because of the hype? And will they have enough steam to push through CT to take the division?

This is certainly a tricky division, but that's what makes it so fun. I'm excited to get this thing rolling.
