There are plenty of reasons to be apprehensive about the game (motion controls, etc.), but I hear a lot of people saying that they can't stand Skyward Sword's graphics. If it were one of those "non-HD graphics look like crap" sentiments, I might understand if not necessarily agree, but it seems like it's more of a "look how cartoony it is! It's Wind Waker all over again augh augh" sentiment.
I could understand being put off by Wind Waker's art style and deformed, bobblehead characters, but the only thing that strikes me as "cartoony" about Skyward Sword is the bright color scheme.
You know what other Zelda game had a bright color scheme? A Link to the Past. You know, the one that every Zelda fan likes?

Didn't everyone say the worst thing about Twilight Princess's art style was that everything was brown? Now we get a Zelda with a similar art style but more vibrant color palette and oh no it's a cartoon.
I absolutely love new Zelda. I've also seen a good bit more praise for the visuals/art style than I have criticism. Not hard to see why it isn't everyone's cup of tea, though. Personally, I'm a fan.
