My guess is that, if you view the video with no context, you won't understand most of it and won't remember most of it enough to really be spoiled. (On that note, I didn't get the green sun plot twist until it was explicitly explained on tumblr >_>)

Did you mind getting spoiled before getting into Homestuck? Because those 4000 pages made you forget, which is probably gonna happen to anyone who sees Cascade before reading Homestuck itself.

I minded. I hated knowing some of the deaths ahead of time. Especially since I was spoiled on the whole Eridian event.

One of my friends was irrationally creeped out by Gamzee, and this was well before he went on his murdering rampage.

So naturally when he snapped and started killing everyone my friend just went "I WARNED YOU BRO. I TOLD YOU ABOUT GAMZEE"

I'm kind of bummed that the standalone version of Flare on Vol. 8 isn't the same version used in Cascade. The remix is about three times as awesome, and Flare is still a pretty good song.

I like how just the other day I was like "hey I just noticed that John upgraded his Warhammer of ZIllyhoo and it has a scorpio sign on it" and just now in his blogs about the EOA Hussie actually pointed it out and called it the Vrillyhoo.

Clearly we're becoming a tad too smart and perceptive.

It's implied that he alchemized Zillyhoo with those dice Vriska gave him. Pop-a-Matic Vrillyhoo Hammer is pretty much the best name, though.

That friend who's been reading Homestuck apparently went through that clickable bookrack early on and read all of Problem Sleuth right then and there. Any good? He's apparently obsessed with the term "Sepulchritude" now.

Problem Sleuth is awesome. It's awesome for different reasons than Homestuck, but it is definitely entertaining.

And your friend is totally correct in his admiration for Sepulchritude.

If you like homestuck, read problem sleuth ltm. It is more like early homestuck given that it precedes it. You'll have a slightly increased appreciation for some of the injokes that are used in both comics.

Hahaha, yeah. I can't imagine it'll be anything but amazing. Andrew has actually said something about that on his first formspring. I have the archives of it saved to my PC, so I'll go dig it up real quick:

Suppose Homestuck becomes your magnus opus - no matter what else you do in the rest of your life, you're always know as the guy who did Homestuck. Would you be 0kay with that?

Homestuck's really just a warm-up for something else. Kind of like how Problem Sleuth was a warmup for Homestuck.

There's not much of a chance of it becoming cemented as an opus, or casting a shadow from which I cannot escape. That outcome is up to me, and the degree of focus which I put into the next project.

You know, him topping Homestuck is hard to believe, but if anyone can do it, I think he can.

Those are certainly Mycro opinions.

I've specifically avoided the community until now to prevent any spoilers given how far behind everyone I was, so I have very little idea of what is generally liked.

Hmm. General fandom says that Dave is the top kid, Jade is probably the bottom kid, and the top trolls are Vriska, Karkat, and Terezi. Also, bottom tier trolls are Eridan and Gamzee.

but then again, general fandom is really silly

But yeah, what I do agree on is that pretty much all characters are likable.

Yeah, I can't see how anyone can not have Eridan or Feferi as last. Eridan has that going against him and Feferi is just...well. She's not interesting enough and she doesn't have any moments like the other characters.

Karkat has some pretty great moments, but I'm not sure I'd consider him one of the best trolls. I mean he just can't compete with Terezi, for one.

Vriska is a pretty good character, but I don't like her.
