Whole shmorgasborg of picks to choose from this week. Just a matter of picking the one that best suits your situation. I could understand Giants, Ravens, Titans, Texans, Bills, 49'ers, Panthers, Bengals, Chargers, obviously Saints and Lions, but I'm going with...
Actually, nobody has picked the Giants yet. Let's have a Giants party! We can all be eliminated at once like those 20 people who took NY over the Seahawks.
weird...I looked at the list of remaining participants and thought they were ordered by which team they picked last week, because the only two people who didn't pick the Cowboys come first alphabetically.
Sorry, other Giants pickers. It was a nailbiter because I picked them. I haven't not had a nailbiter yet this season.
Week 1: Arizona beats Carolina 28-21. It's the only game Arizona's won, in spite of an amazing Cam Newton debut. Week 2: Dallas beats San Fransisco 27-24. Who knew then that one NFC west team wouldn't suck? And it took a rally from Romo, with a broken rib, to win this one. Week 3: San Diego beats Kansis City 20-17. The then-worst-looking team had to be intercepted with under a minute left to prevent a field goal. Week 4: Atlanta beats Seattle 30-28. They blew a 20-point halftime lead, and could have lost if a 61-yard FG connected. Week 5: Cincinatti beats Jacksonville 30-20. Despite a comedy of errors from the Jaguars, the Bengals only took the lead inside the 2 minute warning. Was only a two-score game because of a turnover on the final play. Week 6: Pittsburgh beats Jacksonville 17-13. Suffering from nerves, I finally pick a strong team to try to end this streak of cliffhangers. Needing 7, JAX has two strong drives in the last five minutes, but come away with just a field goal. Week 7: Carolina beats Washington 33-20. Of all the games I picked, THIS was the one that was remotely comfortable? Where I picked a losing-record team over a winning team? Week 8: NYG beats Miami, 20-17. Miami is a better team than 0-7, but they still shouldn't compete. I only took this pick because this was the last time NY was a viable pick this season. Lo and behold, they're losing 14-3 when I turn it on, and crawl back into the game halfway through the 4th.
