I kinda like the sound normally, but if there is a girl anywhere near the bathroom I'm using I can never bring myself to piss directly into the water, it has to hit the inside of the toilet bowl.

I tend to do this anyway. For the noise if someone is nearby, but simply out of habit even if there isn't.

When I was a little kid, I used to do this because loud noises at night scared me. I also flushed the toilet and ran out of the bathroom like a madman to get away from the noise.

I like to do trick peeing, such as peeing from the farthest distance, or pointing my wang straight up and making an arc.

An advanced tactic is finding the sweet spot on a urinal that won't splash back.

I do sometimes just because the stream doesn't go straight, but I only try for it when I'm on the phone. However, when I'm on the phone, I'll usually also kneel next to the toilet so the height differential is less as well...and I wait to flush until after I end the phone call.

I also grew up in a bathroom where the toilet is behind the bathtub, so it's mostly unviewable from the door. Obviously a dude standing in front of it peeing is, though, so I got in the habit of standing to the side of the toilet rather than in front because I was too lazy to close the door normally. (And no, I didn't do this if I suspected somebody might actually be around that would walk by, but usually our second floor was otherwise unoccupied.)
