Yeah this didn't seem like a McCarthy episode. It's getting to the point where I can kind of tell the writing styles apart.

Okay episode. I usually pretty much despise plots involving babies but this was tolerable enough I guess. Kind of good Bird in a Hoof-y with a good ten minutes of Pinkie trying to stop the babies from crying but on the bright side it was a great deal funnier than Bird in a Hoof, so it got by I suppose.

Not a lot to say about it except I don't think Pinkie carries episodes by herself very well. None of the ponies do, but Pinkie's antics in particular need another character to bounce off of. This is why Feeling Pinkie Keen is a great episode and this one was just kinda "eh."

I'm halfway through the episode and all I have to say is this:

You KNOW that no one respects you when they would rather have RAINBOW DASH babysit than you.

Also, I agree with Para. Pinkie is good as a secondary character, because other characters can react to her antics. When it's just non-stop Pinkie antics...it's not as good.

Probably my least favorite episode so far on the stipulation that I despise babies.

Gave me some interesting fan theories though. Rarity said that baby unicorns are prone to random magic exploits, which was shown. And of course Pound Cake was able to fly despite being an infant. I think that ponies mature physically faster than they do "magically", meaning that when their bodies are weak, they are able to focus more energy on their racial abilities or something. Then their bodies outgrow their powers for several years, hence Scootaloo not being able to fly and Twilight struggling with magic at Scootaloo's age. Then their magic/flight/earthponiness catches up with them, probably around puberty or something.

God damn, I'm putting way too much thought into this.

The way I rationalized it, the body develops faster than the wings. So as a pony ages, it gets harder to fly until the wings can catch up.

Although that doesn't really explain when Pound was dragging Pinkie Pie up and down the stairs >___>

I've got a solution.
The events in the episode didn't actually happen, they were just how Pinkie imagined they happened. The babies escaped not because of godlike strength and magic power, but because Pinkie was careless. She just told herself they were super powerful to make herself feel better.
