I tried to find as many as I could while naturally playing through the game, but once I neared the end, I referred to guides to 100% the game before the final stretch. This game really nailed bosses. Zelda bosses have always been epic, but in most of the games they fail to be anything but completely formulaic. Use dungeon's item, boss is stunned, hit with sword. It would only be the 3rd time I think in series history that it would have happened. Only Zelda 2 and LttP does he get all 3 triangles. Thought it was going to be in Thrill Digger but I guess not. No idea about the crystals either. When I'm in the Faron main area my dowsing ability shows there's a cube toward the Cistern entrance waterfall area, but when I go there it shows it's in the main area. I ended the game with 26 Cubes which I thought kinda made sense for a final number (26 Cubes + 24 Hearts = a nice round 50). However, I've heard that there are 27 total Cubes. You don't really see any effects of his evil as you did with past Zelda villains (Ganondorf ruling Hyrule for seven years, Skull Kid bringing the moon down, Zant's Twilight realms). He's all about the attitude and character design, which I love. He's the antithesis of Ganondorf. He has very effeminate characteristics (look at the way he walks during the first boss fight), extreme vanity, and a hair trigger temper. It's a very intriguing combination, and he always commanded the screen when he did show up. He just "worked" for me. Fire Sanctuary really wasn't that good, the mogma mitts are pretty crappy and there was already a fire dungeon beforehand which while much shorter, managed to be better as well. Why on earth they chose to save this for last before the final dungeon is beyond me. Also, the sand ship wasn't nearly as good as everyone was hyping it up to be. Really way too straightforward. I'll admit that everything before sandship was absolutely amazing though. Best non-dungeon part of the game so far! Lanayru seems to have the best non-dungeon parts. Lanayru Mining Facility and Ancient Cistern are two of the best dungeons in the series though. So good. A little disappointing if the game already peaked. I've heard people flat-out call it the best RPG of the generation, Western or Japanese. Is there still the slightest chance that NoA will bring it over? Maybe. Reggie said there's more Wii games coming, to be announced this month or next. And honestly, the Rainfall trilogy seems like an insanely easy way to do that, especially since two of them are already slated for next year in Europe. I mean, other than those (and Mario Party 9), could they really release anything big with all the effort going towards the 3DS and WiiU? Maybe DKCR2 or something, but other than that... Gotta be the Rainfall games.
