Grabbed Yakuza 4 for $10 from Wal-Mart last night, and a few Blu-ray movies (Mummy / Mummy Returns for $10 total, X-Men First Class for a friend for $10). Also got Portal 2 and Rayman Origins from GameStop for $30 and $40, respectively. Pretty good!

I need to look up consumer reports on some of these brands. There are so many choices, how do I know what to trust if I'm going to spend $500 on a tv.

most of these brands are fine. westinghouse is known for these sales. amazon's is the riskier one. dynex is also known for these sales. focus more on the model for most of these guys because they can have a wide range of awesome to mediocre.

anime side of things this is too long a list for me to get into. will warn in advance: deepdiscount HAS fallen over the years. 4 years ago they were amazing, 2 years ago they dropped badly. we're talking canceling orders, having orders take months - all the bad stuff except for charging you wrong (if they did that they wouldn't be in business anymore). their sales dropped too (it was 50% off instead of the 25%). but last year they've been improving again. i got my stuff just fine then like any other retailer, as did most. so, list is:
