Black Turtle did a pretty good job.

Well for all their failing, they've only actually died twice. One of those was because they loaded a previous save and fought Yakra without healing first, and the other was because they were openly experimenting with the 1999 AD bucket at the End of Time (just like everyone else did on their first playthrough I'm sure) and fully expected to die, so I'm hesitant to count that one.

So even for as bad as they are, their only legitimate Game Over has come from one instance of Ryan's jaw-dropping insistence on saving first and THEN healing up coming back to bite them.

CT is proving that it is designed well enough that even when played poorly it still works!

Oh gee it's got the DS extras too. I just bought it for the PSP but I supposed I'll get it for the Iphone as well since you don't have to do multiple new game plus playthroughs to get magic tabs to max out Robo/Crono.

Ugh, the targeting system is such a pain in the ass on the iphone verison. The buttons to switch targets are way too small and everywhere else on the screen is confirm. I've wasted so many tonics on full health Lucca.

That's sad when Secret of Mana was ported better on the iphone than Chrono Trigger.

If you want to be grammatically technical on the level of a crazed Austrian with a funky 'stache, then yes. As a completely sane person however, I will continue to say Mar Lee, because that's the only conceivable way to say it without it sounding utterly ****ing stupid.

I don't mind how inept they are at actually playing the game, my biggest complaint is how they never explore except as a last resort. Yes it's a linear game but you don't literally have to play straight through objective-by-objective.

Although now they're pretty much going to have to explore in the next episode since the game doesn't tell you EXACTLY where to go to find The Hero.

People complain too much. They're not doing a skill run, they're doing an endurance run...the entertainment is in the journey and the mistakes made along the way, not in doing everything perfectly the first time.

Seriously. There is no precedent in the language to saying it any other way. It's not even one of those either or situations where you're just teasing people who say it different, it's just dumb to say it differently.

I'm not even mad that they're terrible at the game, I'd expect them to make mistakes every now and then. I mean there is no possible way that they'll figure out the thing with the chests once they power up the necklace, and it's entirely possible that they'll skip every optional quest at the end of the game... even though that where the most interesting parts of the story are found... I just get annoyed that they're dumb. Like they either can't read or just don't notice things.

When discovering that you can see the next tech everyone learns, they didn't notice that Lucca wasn't learning anything, when they switched Marle in, they thought Crono learned a new tech because TP is random.. The got the Hero Medal scrolled to the end of their inventory and just assumed it doesn't show up there because it wasn't occupying the last possible spot.

It's just dumb stuff like that which annoys me. Although I hadn't played P4 before watching the ER I could see they were making a lot of choices I wouldn;t.. like assuming you had to use magic in every single battle for the entire game... but they weren't necessarily being dumb... just ignorant of stats and a little forgetful at times.

I don't know, maybe RPGs are incredibly hard and we're just used to them, but I find it ridiculous that two people can make such terrible assumptions at every turn.

Eh it urks me too but I've gotten used to their bumbling, maybe it's just the CT nerd in all of us since I'm irking that they missed a bunch of tabs and the Silver Stud.

Putting the looking for Medina in the middle ages and not remembering Melchior's hut parts aside, this was the best video. Avoided few battles, used techs... too bad they still use physical attacks on Spekkio, they need to learn the power of Antipode.

Well, whatever on the name pronunciation issue. I've been saying "Mar-lee" since 1995, before there were internet videos, director's commentary or even the cultural awareness to provide us the correct pronunciation. Japanese speakers created the names - it's anybody's guess how they're pronounced.

I'll bet I've been saying Lucca wrong as "Lu-ka" - it's probably "Lu-cha" or something else. And "Mag-us" is probably "Mah-gus", but that's more like a difference in regional accents....a "pa-jam-as", "pa-jahm-as" kind of thing.
