i hate when people expect others to expand their hearts for them just because it's christmas.
like i said before, it's the time of the year when the suicide rate is highest. where lonely deluded people pretend comfort and joy and then crash 2 weeks later because all they're left with is credit card debt. this a stupid holiday, kept alive to bolster the national economic index and to relieve a little guilt.

Right. This should be called Full Throttle day instead. Men and women across the world would celebrate the glory of former Lucas Arts, and play Loom and Grim Fandango and The Dig !
I was under the impression that people who got depressed around Christmas did so because it brought up memories of Christmases past, be they happy or sad memories.
Christmas is fun! Giving presents is fun! So is receiving them!
Seriously, if you're not big on Christmas, just treat it like any other time of year. Just be happy it's not Easter. Now THERE'S a depressing holiday...

What's so depressing about Easter? Easter is resurrection. Good Friday is the depressing one.
don't particularly care for christmas itself, but do enjoy that everyone else goes nuts over it. results in me having awesome sales, parties, and business in general is good this time of year. and presents! or rather presents you get during the year with someone going 'alright, this counts as your christmas gift.'
don't really care for the rest of it. getting together with family, 'whatever.' but there's enjoyment to it outside of the specific day or 'meaning' some people put on it.

The King Wang. Listen up Urinal Cake. I already have something that tells me if I'm too drunk when I pee on it: My friends. - Colbert.
Christmas makes you depressed? Tell your family that and no longer celebrate it, simple, yes?
For everyone else (especially the ones with decent jobs or know how to save and don't go bankrupt from spending like $200 on presents once a year) you get 3 days paid holiday and an excuse to have a party and celebrate what's good in life with people you know and care about. What can go wrong?
