After seeing what they did for Metroid and Donkey Kong Country, I'm starting to think Retro Studios should have a go at all of Nintendo's franchises.

Especially the ones Nintendo doesn't know what to do with. Give them Star Fox please.

Retro should make all Nintendo's flagship series.

Except Mario, the last couple have been fantastic so I'm good with leaving that where it is.

They are working for a Wii-U title though, no idea what it is !

And as stupid as it seems I hope it's not F-Zero, the next one NEEDS to run on the Hedgehog Engine.

I can get behind this.

As amazing as this would be, I'd much rather see them continue to bring back old franchises. And by that I mean make a Star Fox game. And have it be awesome. I mean, Retro could make an awesome Zelda game, but EAD already do plenty of that, so no need to involve them when they could be doing products that less capable developers may struggle with.

Also oh my god at the comments in that article. Now that's just stupid.

retro is nintendo's best dev team so it makes sense, but I think zelda is best served in a more eastern style, star fox or f-zero are better choices for a western dev to work on IMO

Retro should start making original games instead of being forced to salvage the broken scraps of Nintendo series that are handed to them imo

These guys have done literally nothing else other than turn Metroid from a 10/10 platforming/exploration game into a mediocre FPS. What heroes!

metroid prime is the best game in the metroid series, though I'll admit they clearly lost that inspiration in the following two titles.

Don't forget they took a 10/10 ACM platforming series and turned it into an 11/10 platforming series!

Unpopular opinion I know, but Retro Studios has to be one of the most overrated game studios right now.

Metroid Prime has just as much exploration and platforming as the 2D Metroids

Prefer 2D Metroid all you want (I do that too!), but Metroid Prime is possibly the greatest transition from 2D to 3D of any series ever.

Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1 is the best film EVER! Even better than Gigli!

DKCR is a 9/10 game, just because you CAN hack the game to fix the controls doesn't mean it doesn't get points docked for it, but it's still a testament to retro's greatness when you see how many games have been completely wrecked by superfluous motion controls.

11/10 with the motion controls I WAS SO INTO IT
