I've been putting this show off long enough, sounds like I need to watch it.

Before I start: this isn't one of those highly dramatic "pulse pounding constant action" shows like Prison Break is it? I just need to know that it's nothing like Prison Break so I can go in optimistically.

It's definitely got action scenes, but it's still more a drama than anything


and Breaking Bad is an amazing show. The Wire's still my favorite, but BB is definitely in my top 5. Top 3 if it ends on the same level as it is now.


My top 5 for information, so you know whether you'll like it or not (which you WILL)

1. The Wire
2. Six Feet Under
3. The Sopranos
4. Scrubs
5. Breaking Bad

Yeah I haven't seen any of those other ones, so I can't know! But I'll take the rec and will probably get to the first season pretty quick.

Breaking Bad is fantastic. I have not seen prison break, but BB is not "PULSE POUNDING ACTION" at all.

Yeah as I said Breaking Bad is a drama at heart

it's still got more action than your average HBO type drama though!

BB is my favorite show currently on television.

It's the best AMC has to offer by a long shot. Very comparable to an HBO drama/action.

Though Walking Dead, Hell on Wheels, and Mad Men aren't terrible.

I've only seen the first episode of Wire. There were a lot of characters and a lot happening. Got to give it shot.

I had Mad Men over Breaking Bad before season 4 of BB. Now I prefer BB by a little bit, but Mad Men is still terrific. Walking Dead has potential, but hasn't lived up to it yet.
