4-2's opening is probably the worst in the series. I've played AJ a few times, and I always dread that part the most.

Oh yeah, this talk about the defendants reminds me:

Apollo Justice did very well with victims. All 4 of them had at least one line of dialogue and were generally interesting people that weren't just placeholder people that are just "oh, we need a victim for a murder mystery, let's get some random character". I appreciate that. AAI...yeah. There were so many "lol" victims in AAI (one of which is the amazing deid mann), it's kind of a shame.

4-2's opening. So bad. SO BAD. Uggggh, it's a shame, because that case was pretty solid. It's just the 1st investigation is so dreadful.

And finally, what is with these AJ > PW2 people. Really. Anyone who thinks AJ > PW2 need to explain their logic, imho.

Yeah, I can't really fathom thinking AJ > JFA. But then again, I like JFA better than most.

Like, 4-1 is the only case you can argue is better than any case from JFA, in my opinion. 4-2 and 4-3 are worse than every JFA case, except 2-1, I guess. And 2-4 could beat Apollo Justice by itself, in my opinion.

2's first three cases never really get bad, just a bit boring or meh.
4-1 is great, but all the rest of them are actually bad. It's the only game in the series to have outright bad cases, and the entire game consists of them sans the introduction case.

I'm pretty sure the AJ > JFA people just really like AJ, and see JFA as the easiest target when wanting to claim AJ isn't the disgrace of the family.

I don't think a single AA case is bad. The only one that might is 4-4 and definitely 4-0.

I like JFA more than a lot of people. I think 2-1 is really brilliant for an opening case and has a really strong opening. Amazing opening (dat dark judge), clever contradictions, good murderer, good set-up, and a very satisfying way to end the case. 2-2 is a pretty good case. It's more serious than other cases and I think it does it well. Ending was very satisfying, plot was good, and I just liked the case overall. 2-3 is...well, 2-3 is unique and the first investigation is pretty fun. You have to give it points for creativity, too.

2-4 is 2-4. Enough said.

The funny thing about 4-0 is that I was actually enjoying it thanks to the return to the old, brighter graphics, the old, better music, and Phoenix's inner monologue. And then the cameo character wasn't acting anything like himself, and things got stupid, and things got even stupider, and yeah, it just devolved so quickly.

Nope! I enjoyed it. Somehow, I did. It was charming in a way and Daryan is pretty cool. There were also some neat stuff in there, like the whole Lamiroir/Machi thing. Also gets credit because Sound Board is probably the best evidence in the series, right up there with the Cardboard Badge. But I have to admit that yeah, it is pretty annoying, especially that whole silly Lamiroir trick with the concert.

I like Daryan quite a bit, actually. He's a pretty tough witness. His breakdown is amazing, too.

4-3 just has so many logic problems.

The entire case in 4-3 is built on logic so ridiculous that it makes Franziska's case in 2-3 look rock solid.

2-3 was pretty much as outlandish as you could get while still maintaining some shred of logic. The key is that as ridiculous as things would get, cases were mostly consistent in the way that they played out and you could feel good about it.

4-3 straight contradicts itself out of the starting block, 4-0 pretty much spits in the face of every game before it, etc.
