Why does he wait so long before doing Whomp's Fortress? I can't even imagine what good can come from that. I can't imagine he's saving much time, since he's doing Jolly Roger Bay early and the doors are like right next to each other.

Maybe he got frustrated from resetting in Whomp's Fortress a ton the past few days and just wants to get some time in on different levels.

I think you need like frame perfect jumps to go up that surface. Normally you slide back down if you try to go up like that.
